Pottery House, Lochinver

Decorated to a very high standard our well equipped home is surrounded by stunning scenery. This is the perfect base to enjoy the local area. Visit the unspoilt beaches of Assynt or spend the day hiking or fishing. If the weather is bad, the house offers a safe haven to relax and watch the weather and wildlife from a cosy viewpoint! There are stunning views across the bay. The house is walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Lochinver. The space Although new to AirBnB, Highland Stoneware has been renting this holiday home directly for many years. Many of our guests return year after year. This comfortable house really is a home from home. It has a very well equipped kitchen with lots of Highland Stoneware for you to enjoy using. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, tumble drier, large fridge freezer as well as the hob, oven and microwave in the kitchen area. From the dining table, there are spectacular views across the bay. The resident otter can often be seen at play! A few steps lead down to the cosy living room with an open fire to curl up in front of to read a book or watch the TV or DVD. French doors open onto the patio area where seats are provided in the summer months. There are two bedrooms in the house. The first has an ensuite shower room and king size bed. The second bedroom can either be made up as a super king or twin beds. There is a communal bathroom with both a shower cubicle and separate bath. There is a bright studio room with desk and seating area upstairs from the kitchen. The kitchen/diner, bedrooms and bathrooms are all on one level, with one small step into the house. Cars can be parked right outside the house. We just ask guests to keep the gate closed to stop the local deer coming in to eat the well kept garden! The house is lovely and warm with gas central heating and has an open fire in the living room. Gas, electricity and logs for the fire are included in the cost. We also provide bed linen, towels and cleaning products. Unlimited wifi is also provided. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property. There is a private patio outside the living room. The rest of the garden is shared with the neighbouring property (the property owners). There is ample parking for 2 cars. We have self check in, so guests can arrive any time after 4pm. The keycode for the key safe will be provided prior to arrival. Other things to note During peak season we usually have a minimum stay of 7 nights, with arrival on a Saturday.
