The space The Kingman, a 1971 Airstream Sovereign Land Yacht, is our hometown Airstream. It is 31 feet long, and has been painstakingly renovated to provide modern comforts and amenities. This gem was located on Route 66 in Kingman at one of the original motor courts and now resides in its permanent home, Tin Can Alley on 66. Tin Can Alley on 66 is a distinctive Airstream oasis with the perfect blend of modern luxury and nostalgia. Each 1960s to 1970s Airstream has been beautifully renovated to offer guests a unique, upscale boutique experience like no other. Surround yourself in the comfort of a plush queen bed and linens, porcelain bathroom fixtures with a walk-in glass door shower, AC and heat temperature controls, wifi, streaming or gaming television, and curated furniture pieces designed to maximize space. Note that the sofa pulls out into two small single beds for extra sleeping space. Whether you're with a group of friends or ready to share your Route 66 experiences with new friends, this property offers the perfect opportunity with its inclusive community space. A contemporary shaded patio features an outdoor gas fireplace, offering daytime relaxation and evening ambience. The comfortable seating arrangement is designed for gathering, conversation, and leisure after exploring the Route and Kingman. For the more competitive guests, Tin Can Alley on 66 offers a regulation size corn hole (bean bag toss) game, bocce ball, giant Jenga, and other fun opportunities. For the spectators in every group, enjoy the adjacent full-sun patio while you watch! We welcome you to tour Kingman on the four cruiser bicycles located on the property. Simply unlock and take a spin! Two helmets are provided in each Airstream. Don’t worry, we sanitize the helmets between guests! Start your day with artisan coffee from our onsite coffee shop, Mudd on 66. Order online and we will deliver to your Airstream at your requested time, or enjoy the Route 66 vibe inside this former roadhouse tavern where you can watch our baristas at work on the San Remo Espresso Machine, sip from a warm ceramic cup, select fresh pastries or bagels, and browse our selection of Route 66 merchandise. Mudd on 66 also offers French press coffee, a wide selection of teas, our in-house cold brew, iced drinks, lemonades, and blended protein drinks. Our beans are roasted on Route 66 at the high elevation of Flagstaff, Arizona offing an especially smooth taste experience. Treat yourself to hand crafted ice cream at the little stone building on the property, Scoops on 66. Imagine a long day on the Route followed by premium, organic, Route 66 made ice cream served streetside to you from this quaint walk up shop! Enjoy the history of the 100+ year old uniquely Kingman building featuring quartz stones around the windows. Scoops on 66 serves some of the best ice cream on the Route! Please note that Airstreams are not ADA accessible. Airstreams have steps to enter, narrow doors, and are unable to accommodate wheelchairs. Tin Can Alley on 66 is a pet-free environment. Guest access During your stay, you have uninterrupted access to the Airstream you rented and the attached deck space. Each Airstream has an assigned, onsite parking space. Wagons are available to assist with the transfer of luggage to your Airstream. Guests will not have access to extra linens unless additional guests are registered. All guests are welcome to share the shade patio, game area, full-sun patio, the bicycles, and the beautiful sunsets! Other things to note For travelers with an outdoor spirit, Kingman boasts some of the best hiking and biking trails in the area, a beautiful community golf course, and many parks. Our high desert climate is perfect for year round outdoor activities. Plan to stay a few days to enjoy a day trip or two. Within short driving distances, explore the Grand Canyon, Lake Havasu, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Hualapai Mountain Park, local wineries, and other Route 66 towns including Oatman, Hackberry, and Seligman.
