Welcome to Grand Hostel Ivalo. This former nursing school with local history offers affordable accommodation for everyone. Close to the beautiful scenerey of the Ivalo River and just a few walking minutes away from town. All rooms are located on the top floors, offering wonderful views (also into night sky). Enjoy slow mornings with finnish coffee & porridge on the first floor, and a hot sauna in the evening in the basement. Come & experience lapland your OWN way. Make this trip truly yours. The space The Grand Hostel Ivalo offers local charm in the town's former school building. The rooms are located on the third floor and offer wonderful views of nature (and the Northern Lights sky at night). The rooms are divided into double beds, single beds, and family rooms. So everyone is welcome. Lapland is not a cheap vacation destination. But we offer what has been missing: affordable accommodations in the heart of Ivalo. So you can plan your dream vacation exactly the way you want it. We are happy to provide tips for your stay. With your room rate comes Sauna (in the basement), and hot coffee and finnish porridge in the morning. Guest access Guests of the Grand Hotel have free access to all floors. 1st Floor: Dining Room 2nd Floor: Gym 3rd Floor: Hostel Rooms, Kitchen, and Living Room Basement: Sauna If you arrive late, we will send you a code for the main door (for access). Your room will be open and ready. Make yourself at home. You will find the key to your room on the desk in your room upon arrival. Other things to note The Grand Hostel Ivalo represents a new kind of accommodation in the otherwise very expensive holiday region of Lapland. We offer affordable accommodations, including a sauna. However, our interior isn't always the most stylish ;) We offer clean, tidy, and comfortable rooms. Our goal is to create a good hostel where everyone feels at home and can experience the Finnish spirit. We love slow mornings, hot saunas, and Finnish hospitality – so we can show you, our guests, Lapland and its local charms in an authentic way. But please don't expect 4-star comfort. Thank you.
