Description
Experience waterfront glamping at its finest in a restored vintage Airstream surrounded by tall oaks and old pecan trees. Wake to birdsong, paddle the river, or fish from the bank, then unwind by the fire in the covered lounge. With fast Wi-Fi, streaming, and peaceful views, this Bastrop hideaway blends nature, comfort, and classic charm for the ultimate riverside escape. The space Nestled beneath a canopy of towering red oaks, graceful sycamores, and 200-year-old pecan trees, this Airstream retreat feels like a secret hideaway in the heart of Texas — yet it’s only five minutes from historic downtown Bastrop. Wake up to birdsong and the rustle of leaves in the breeze. As the sun sets, watch a herd of deer graze along the edge of the property while red hawks soar overhead. Eagles, mockingbirds, squirrels, and other wildlife make frequent appearances, creating a true sense of serenity and connection to nature. Enjoy 250 feet of private riverfront with a lush, tree-filled view across the water. Bring your fishing gear and cast a line right from the bank, or take one of the kayaks or canoes out for a quiet paddle down the river. After a day of exploring, relax in the covered outdoor lounge, perfectly designed for comfort and unwinding. Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee or stargazing at night, this peaceful spot will make you forget the world beyond the trees. Please Note: Guests are responsible for their own safety and actions while enjoying the river or using any of the provided kayaks and canoes. The river current can be strong at times, so please stay aware of your surroundings and use caution. We cannot assume responsibility for any accidents or injuries that occur during your stay. Kayaks and canoes should be returned in the same condition they were found so everyone can enjoy them safely. Guest access Enjoy three open tiers of space between the Airstream and the river—perfect for relaxing, picnics, or games with friends. The Airstream sits about 200 feet from the water, high enough for a beautiful river view. Guests can use all outdoor areas, including the boat ramp (4x4 needed to drive back up). There’s also a wide field behind the Airstream—great for football, baseball, or soccer. Other things to note Firewood is provided—don’t forget the s’mores! The water heater runs on propane. Please turn it on about 5–10 minutes before you need hot water, then switch it off afterward to help conserve propane. You’ll find all the comforts of home: an air fryer, Keurig-style coffee maker, gas stove, microwave, bathroom heater, fans in the bedroom and living area, and a mini-split system that keeps the space perfectly comfortable year-round.
