The Posh Bothy - Crianlarich

The perfect nest for your West Highland Way stopover, or for a longer stay whilst you explore the Trossachs and beyond. The Posh Bothy has everything you'll need for a long or short stay (if you book a night you'll wish you'd stopped longer!) Fully equipped kitchen, double bed with orthopaedic mattress, power-shower, instant hot water and underfloor heating. Smart TV for the rainy days, private terrace for the sunny ones, plus complimentary drying room for your kit. The space The Posh Bothy, at Carna Cottage, is conveniently located on the A85 and moments from the A82, it's the perfect spot to break your journey north or to stop a while longer and explore the Trossachs and the Southwest Highlands. West Highland Way walkers are very welcome, and we have luggage storage, if you're using a baggage transfer option. There's also a drying-room for your kit and complimentary slippers for your stay :) The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave with convection oven as well as a hob, kettle and toaster, so if you want to nestle down on a dreich day, there's no need to venture out. There is a private terrace with views of the hills and plenty of parking. Crianlarich has it's own railway station, a really well stocked shop, and a number of places to eat and drink. It's hillwalker heaven here, with 7 munros on the doorstep, and Glencoe just thirty minutes up the road (arguably the most beautiful drive in Scotland!) The Posh Bothy is a great place to base yourself to explore and adventure, with Oban and the coast (and ferries to the islands) an hour to the west and the city of Stirling an hour east, and innumerable beauty spots en route in every direction. Please note, The Posh Bothy is conveniently situated on the A85, this means you will see the road and may experience some road noise. Guest access The Posh Bothy sits in my yard with its own private terrace and parking space. In the unlikely event that I'm not home on your arrival there is a lockbox on the property. Other things to note I have two dogs, Bert and Tilly. They're super friendly but they have their own space and you won't need to interact with them during your stay (unless you want to!) The Posh Bothy is a glamping pod with an integral bed, this means it is very slightly shorter (though still as wide) as a standard UK double bed :)
