Entire private basement available just for you, including one bedroom, one beautiful full bath, and a living room retreat with futon couch, and built-in desk for work space. Very clean and welcoming. But you will have private access (with a lock on the door) to the entire basement which consists of 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 full bathroom, a quaint living room area that has a futon couch that can sleep 2, a TV with streaming options (no cable), a foosball table, a desk and a little library of board games and books. We have a few floor mats for extra guests to sleep on, upon request. We don’t have a closet, but do provide a rack and hangers for you to hang clothes, along with the use of a few drawers in a dresser in the bedroom to store your items during your visit. You will also have access to a mini fridge, microwave and tea/coffee. We do have some severe allergies so we ask you not to eat nuts in our home. We are happy to share our home with you and hope that you will leave everything in the same order that you find it. Because we have many allergies and we would like to offer a safe allergy-friendly environment for our guests, we do have some house rules (so please be sure to check those out). Know that we will do everything we can to accommodate your requests and ask that you respect our requests as well. Guest access The space available to you is a private space (our finished basement) that will be just for you (not shared with anyone else). The only shared space with our family is the entry to the house. The door to the basement has a lock so you can feel secure and know that you can leave your items for the day with comfort and ease. Other things to note We have people living on the upper level, so you may hear some noise of us walking around on the floor above you. On weekdays, we normally wake up at 6AM and start moving around on the floor above this space, so please keep that in mind if you are booking during the week. We sleep in a little longer on the weekends. I also teach mid-week piano lessons, so if your stay overlaps any of my lessons, I will let you know my teaching schedule so you know when you can expect to hear some piano music. We have quiet hours from 9pm-6am that we ask you to respect and we will do the same for you.
