Escape to tranquility
Escape to tranquility
Description
A cosy Cottage nestled in the heart of the Welsh countryside, this cottage is the perfect retreat for those seeking breathtaking views. Cozy up by the fireplace, explore scenic trails, or simply unwind. Whether it's a couple wanting to get away, a small family wanting a break, cycling, walking or a quiet solo escape, this hidden gem offers comfort and charm. Please note that there are two small bedrooms, one has two single beds (can be pushed together) and the other has bunk beds. The space The 400 year old cottage is very quaint with a few modern touches. Ideally this cottage would suit a couple with up to two children as the second bedroom has bunk beds. If you have children please bring your own child gate for the top of the stairs. We have left a dog bowl if you have a fur baby. There is a wood burner which is lovely and cosy. There will be a few logs but bring a bag along to supplement. There is an outside area accessed from the back door. The seating area seat covers are in the shed at the top of the garden. Please leave them in the shed when you leave. If there isn't a space in front of the cottage there is plenty of parking to the right in a car park. The pub opposite offers good pub food, accepts children and dogs. I would book a table if you want to sit in the bar. There is an abundance of attractions in the area, especially for those who enjoy the outdoor life, with hiking, cycling, golf, sightseeing, horse riding, and shooting – all available in the surrounding area. You can be at the glorious beaches on the west coast of Wales ( Aberdovey, Towyn, Barmouth, Fairbourne and Borth )are around 30 minutes by car. Or for those who like a challenge you may prefer to climb Cader Idris which at 893m or Aran Fawddwy which is 905m are some of Wales’ most popular peaks for hill walking. But you don’t need to travel far for good walks, as the Dyfi Valley and the area local to Dinas Mawddwy is criss-crossed with trails and rights of way. Mountain bikers will appreciate either the Coed y Brenin Forest Trails or the Machynlleth Trails. Both are just a short drive away and there are trails to suit both families and the more serious mountain bikers. If you are cycling there is a shed at the top of the garden to put your bikes in at night. The village is in the flight path of the Mach loop and if you’re interested in watching them fly through it’s pretty impressive . It is loud when they fly past during the week ( not weekends) so be prepared ! Guest access The outside area at the rear of the cottage is all the area right to the top of the garden to the shed.
