The space Tucked away on a quiet smallholding in the village of Penmachno, this stylish 2-bedroom cabin offers a peaceful countryside escape in the heart of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). Overlooking green fields and scenic views, it's the ideal base for walkers, nature lovers, and anyone looking to unwind in a tranquil rural setting. The cabin is light and airy, with a comfortable open-plan living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and French doors leading out to a raised decking. Two cosy bedrooms—one with a double bed, the other with twin singles—make it perfect for families, couples, or friends travelling together. Step outside with your morning coffee and take in the peaceful views across the valley. Despite its rural setting, the village amenities are wonderfully close by, with the community-run Eagles Penmachno pub, children’s play park and village shop all less than 300 yards away (please note, the pub has varying opening hours and may not be open every day). For those keen to explore, the surrounding area offers fantastic opportunities for walking, cycling, mountain biking and sightseeing, while the popular village of Betws-y-Coed is just a short 10 minute drive away. Planning to climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)? Llanberis, home to one of the mountain’s most popular starting points and car parks, is approximately a 40-minute drive from the cabin. Other popular starting points and routes are generally within around 40–50 minutes by car, making the cabin a convenient base for exploring some of Eryri’s most spectacular mountain walks. After a day of adventures, return to the calm of the countryside and fall asleep to the sound of rustling trees and distant owls. Guest access Guests have sole use of the cabin and its garden, along with dedicated parking space for 2 cars. Please note access to the cabin is by 3 steps for both entrances, therefore unfortunately it is unsuitable for wheelchair users. Our home is in the farmhouse next door, but guests will have the cabin to themselves — we’re nearby if needed, but will give you your privacy Other things to note There are uneven ground surfaces around the property and the patio has areas with differing levels. Guests are asked to be mindful of this. There is a river running next to the cabin at the end of the garden. Guests are asked not to climb over the fence to access the river at any time, and any children on site need to be under adult supervision at all times. If guests wish to go paddling in the river during the summer months when it is shallow, there is public access by the bridge just prior to the turning to the cabin. During heavy rainfall the river swells and is fast moving. Sorry no pets No smoking at any time inside the property No EV charging permitted Due to the rural location, there is very little phone signal/cellular data, however WiFi is provided at the cabin so wifi calling is possible We have a farm cat who roams freely around the farm. He is inquisitive and friendly and while he likes a bit of attention and fuss, he can be easily shooed away if he becomes a nuisance. Please do not let him into the cabin or give him any food.
