On our secluded private 172 hectare Wildlife / Rain Forest Reserve 1100 meters above La Suiza, Turrialba, sits the "Bungalow" surrounded by peace, tranquility, birds and volcano views. Many guests in the past said they were so very happy just being in this beautiful quaint artistic wood crafted house appraising majestic views of the Volcan Turrialba & valley, Pacuare, Chirripo, & Talamanca mountain ranges + our own rain forest canopy. Hike, Ride, Swim, Bird watch, Relax ! The space Beautiful Hand crafted wooden 3 bedroom spacious bungalow with panoramic views situated at the end of a rural road with no power lines or vehicles passing through. A solar panel for electricity. It can sleep 1 as it can sleep 6. Should you want breakfast lunch or dinner, it can also be arranged as long as we are given prior notice before your arrival at reasonable prices. We are excellent cooks. Swimming at our private emerald pond surrounded by rain forest is an amazing experience that is just a 5 minute walk from the house! Horse back riding, guided hikes on our secluded and pristine reserve (where you will not see other humans besides yourselves and the guides ) are available at fare rates depending on number of participants. Amazing exclusive Pacuare River white water rafting trips can be arranged with experienced guides and is highly recommended. The Pacuare River is among the 10 most cleanest rivers in the world. The days are warm, but the nights are chilly. Open air bathroom ( cold spring refreshing water only) ALL PHOTOS ON OUR LISTING ARE TAKEN WITHIN OUR PRIVATE RESERVE! Guest access You get the entire bungalow with private yard and are free to walk anywhere on our Las Nubes Reserve and swim in our pristine Emerald Pond. We want you to feel comfortable, private and safe. Our main host house, "Penthouse in the Jungle", is a 5 minute walk upward where you are welcome if needed to use WiFi on the lower outside level while taking in the spectacular volcano and mountain views during the day. Guided hiking tours are highly recommended when going into rain forest and waterfalls starting at $25 ( short) to $60 (long) per person. The long beautiful 4.5 hour guided hike to the waterfall through our pristine river canyon is rugged but so spiritual ! ( 2 person minimum price based for all hikes ). We can give a reduced guided hike group rate for over 4 people. Gracious guided horse back riding starts at $60 per person ( min 2 people) depending on how long and where you want to ride. Rubber at least mid calf boots are recommended or above the ankle waterproof hiking boots/sneakers. My husband, staff and I are close by for anything you might need and to customize your stay. Catered Delicious Typical country breakfast, $15; lunch or dinner, $25 per person can be arranged with SUFFICIENT NOTICE and served in the Bungalow. All meals, guided hikes and tours are to be paid in cash please! Other things to note 1. We are at the end of a 6.5 km 4 wheel drive only road. It is best to come early in the day. We can arrange a 4 wheel drive taxi to pick you up if you do not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the small town of La Suiza at the bottom of our hill for $35. 2. The bungalow is set for basic cooking. Be sure to shop well before arriving so you can relax and enjoy your time without having to drive up and down the 4x4 road to La Suiza. Ice, bottled drinking water, snacks and major groceries can all be purchased in La Suiza. 3. A typical lunch or early dinner can be arranged with SUFFICIENT NOTICE for $25 per person served at the Bungalow min 2 people(group discounts can apply). 4. We provide a gas powered small refrigerator cooler and regular cooler, (be sure to pick up bags of ice in La Suiza on your way up the hill for the cooler), a three burner gas stove and a wood burning stove with provided firewood. 5. Please no shoes in the interior of the Bungalow, slippers or socks only. Leave your shoes/boots on the veranda in order protect the beautiful handmade wooden floor.
