This is a place to slow down, enjoy the surroundings, and spend time with people you care about. The dome comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests and is well suited for couples, families, or small groups. Inside, you’ll find a king bed and two single beds that can be joined to form a queen, all within a bright, open-plan space with panoramic mountain views. A fully equipped kitchenette includes an induction stovetop, toaster, kettle, microwave, and everything you need for simple meals. We’ve also provided teas, coffee, muesli, milk, and spreads to help get you started in the mornings. Outside, relax in your private spa pool under the stars, fire up the BBQ, or enjoy outdoor dining with a mountain backdrop. The river is just a short walk away — perfect for a refreshing dip or a quiet moment in nature. You’re also welcome to use the shared woodfired sauna, a short stroll from your dome, ideal for warming up after a swim or hike. For adventurers, the Oteake Conservation Park is nearby, offering incredible day hikes, biking trails, and alpine scenery. The property also sits close to the famous Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail, making it a perfect rest stop for riders exploring the region. If the ride feels a little far, we’re happy to help — we can collect you, bring you to the farm, and drop you back at the nearest point on the trail when you’re ready to continue your journey. At night, the skies are exceptionally clear. With no traffic or streetlights, you can enjoy uninterrupted stargazing from your hot tub or outdoor chairs, it’s one of those rare, peaceful moments that stay with you. You’ll likely meet our horses and sheep around the farm — they’re friendly and enjoy a gentle hello. We aim to keep things simple and sustainable here. The dome features an eco-friendly composting toilet with a bidet attachment, an outdoor shower, heat pump/air conditioning, yoga mats, board games, and cozy corners for any weather. There’s no road noise, no rush, just the sound of the river, birdsong, and the quiet rhythm of the hills. We hope it helps you unwind and reconnect with what matters most. Other things to note GETTING HERE: Danseys Pass is a beautiful and remote part of the South Island, but the roads to get here can feel a little adventurous — especially the last stretch over the pass! Take your time, enjoy the scenery, and drive carefully on the gravel sections. Most vehicles make it here without any trouble, and the peaceful surroundings at the end are well worth the journey.
