The Desert Willow

A private room & bath with separate entrance on ten acres in the quiet Mojave desert. Easy to find, paved road, close to Route 66 and Interstate 15. Friendly hosts welcome people from all backgrounds. A perfect stop between Las Vegas or the Grand Canyon, and Los Angeles or San Francisco. It is desert, so expect hot weather in summer. We have solar, but can't cool things way down. If 78 degrees inside in hottest summer is OK, then come along and join us here! The space Relax in this quiet room with private entrance, or take a peaceful walk out back for miles all by yourself. The dirt trails are fine for jogging, too, in the morning sunrise. Bring your paint brushes or camera; bring your violin or trumpet; bring your poetry or novel. See the biggest and prettiest desert willow. Sit outside at night and watch the stars come out - 360 degrees of them! A brochure shows other enticing nearby attractions like the houses buried in the Mojave River sand. There are a few simple places to eat, too, if you need it. Guest access You have a private entrance to the large bedroom and bath, plus 10 acres of private desert. Part of it is fenced and you are welcome to sit under the porch there, or under the front porch. Breathe deeply and enjoy the peace. You need a door code to get in. I send it with acceptance (but might forget, so remind me). Other things to note It is the desert and weather is not like it is elsewhere. Hot and cold, and lots of wind. That's how it is. We love it! There is a lot of space between houses, which can seem odd to a city dweller. Our home is solar powered, on the grid.
