Description
Cozy, convenient, and full of charm — just off I-25 and minutes from downtown! Relax with a 4K projector + leather recliners, unwind by the fire pit, or enjoy lake access for fishing and paddleboarding. Huge deck, fenced yard, and plenty of parking (even for large vehicles). Last-minute and late check-ins welcome! The space Welcome! Our place sits on a quiet corner lot just under half an acre — it’s peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature. Whether you're here to relax, explore, or just unwind, we hope you’ll feel at home. Outdoor Perks We have a big deck that's perfect for enjoying meals or coffee outside when the weather’s nice. On cooler evenings, feel free to light up the fire pit in the fenced yard. You’ll also have access to a private lake nearby — perfect for paddleboarding, fishing, or just enjoying the view. Your Room + Shared Spaces You’ll have a cozy, private bedroom in the basement, with a brand new queen bed, memory foam mattress, and an extra 2” topper for added comfort. There’s also a smart TV (with free Plex access) so you can log into your favorite streaming apps. The basement includes a shared living area with comfy electric reclining leather couches and a 4K projector — it’s basically a little home theater setup and great for winding down after a day out. There’s also a small kitchenette with a sink, mini fridge, microwave, burners, and some basic cookware if you’d like to make light meals or snacks. Comfort Year-Round The basement stays cool in the summer, and we’ve added a dedicated A/C unit in the bedroom if you want extra control. In the winter, the space is heated by water baseboard heat (super cozy!) and there’s also a space heater in the room for your comfort. A Note About Pets We do have pets — dogs and cats — but they mostly stay upstairs. The cats do have access to the basement (litter boxes are tucked away in the laundry room), but we work hard to keep the guest areas clean and fur-free. Many guests with mild allergies have stayed with us without issue, but if you’re highly sensitive to cats or dogs, this might not be the best fit — and we totally understand! We love sharing our home and hope you’ll feel comfortable and welcome here. Let us know if you have any questions! Guest access You’ll have access to the following areas: 🔐 Private bedroom with lock 🚿 Shared bathroom (only if second guest room is occupied) 🛋️ Shared living room + kitchenette (only if second guest room is occupied) 🧺 Laundry room and small workout space (shared) 🌞 Outdoor access to a large deck 🔥 Fenced-in yard with fire pit 🌊 Community lake access (subject to rec association rules) The main floor (including bedrooms, kitchen, and living areas upstairs) is owner-occupied, but guests may pass through as needed to reach shared areas. We strive to be respectful and keep noise down, but since we live on-site, this may not be the right fit if you're seeking a completely silent or private space. During your stay I work from home and am usually available if you need anything during your stay. Feel free to message, text, or call — I’m always happy to help or offer local recommendations for food, drinks, or things to do around town. This is an LGBTQ+ friendly space, and we welcome guests of all backgrounds. Respect and kindness are expected and appreciated. To protect everyone's safety, we do not rent to ICE agents or anyone assisting them in any capacity. Other things to note We have two guest bedrooms available, and because we allow same-day bookings, we can't always guarantee that the other room will be unoccupied. If you have questions about how shared spaces work, feel free to reach out — we're happy to clarify! Bookings are currently open 6 months in advance. If you're interested in a week-long stay beyond that window, just send us a message and we’ll do our best to accommodate. We share the home with three friendly dogs and two affectionate indoor cats. There’s a gate at the bottom of the stairs to keep the dogs out of the guest space, but they may bark when greeting new people. The cats are social and may drop by for a quick cuddle (or claim your lap if you let them!).
