Description

Set amongst 40 acres of native bush, this cosy cabin is perched on the edge of a dramatic valley, 2 kms from Australia's best beach - Stokes Bay. Surrounded by nature, this peaceful retreat offers the ideal escape to unwind and recharge. The moment you arrive, you'll be greeted by kangaroos and wallabies along with a chorus of birdlife. Relax inside by the fire or on the deck overlooking spectacular views of Lathami Conservation Park watching the wildlife go about their daily routines. The space Built as a weekender for a mainland couple, the cabin has been lovingly renovated honouring the vintage flair of the previous owners with an Australiana touch. In the morning, watch the sunrise on the deck or inside on the supple leather lounge chairs with a hot drink in your hand. Likewise, at the end of a long day touring the island or relaxing at the beach, unwind with a drink on the deck. An unparalleled bush getaway you will never forget. The Perch is perfect for cosy winter escapes with a fireplace to keep you warm as you enjoy your red wine or hot cuppa overlooking the stunning views. Guest access Guests have access to the cabin and walking trails on the 40 acres of bushland surrounding the cabin. Other things to note As the name suggest, the cabin is perched on the edge of a hill which means slopes. There are steps to get into the cabin. The king bed is located in a loft up a set of stairs. The driveway to the cabin is steep and can accommodate a maximum of 2 cars strategically parked. Sorry there is no room near the cabin for caravans or motorhomes/RV's. These can be parked at the entrance. The cabin has bitumen road frontage and is located 15 minutes from Parndana, 40 minutes from Kingscote and 60 minutes from Penneshaw (where the ferry docks). Being remote, we highly encourage you to stock up on groceries at either Kingscote or Penneshaw before heading to the cabin. Basic supplies can be accessed from Parndana too but the selection is limited.
