Through a shared entrance, the Guest Suite is spacious with its 11 Ft ceiling and natural light flooding through the numerous tall windows. It is very accessible being on the main floor yet very private having private en suite bath and sun rooms. This Italianate style home is located in Heritage Hill, the oldest historic neighborhood of Grand Rapids. Conveniently located, within walking distance of downtown, Medical Mile and universities. The space This Heritage Hill home was built by Norman Carpenter in 1874 and acquired by Samuel Young in 1892. Mr. Young was a prominent business owner and active in Grand Rapids' social circles. His home was the scene for lavish social events done in grand style with a large staff of servants. Sixty years of commercial and institutional uses had left this house in extreme despair. Blood, sweat and tears in the last 15+ years have lovingly restored this residence back to its better days. Guest access The common spaces including the Colonial Revival garden may be used. Washer and dryer are available for your convenience with extended stays. During your stay We are a small family with busy work and school schedules, but we are home most days with normal routines of life. The entrance is shared so you will likely see us come and go. Other things to note House is equipped with traditional hot water radiant heaters and cooling fans which typically runs cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer especially in the sunroom. Scarlet is a golden doodle, about 40 lbs, hypoallergenic and friendly dog. Conducting business activity of any kind including but not limited taking photo and/or video is strictly prohibited on premise Absolutely NO SMOKING, NO DRUG permitted on premise No visitor permitted without prior consent Quiet times: 11pm - 8am Window A/C unit installed in bedroom June - September
