Before booking, here are some THINGS PEOPLE LOVE about Casa Coi: 1 - THE VIEWS of the volcanoes and the valley are simply spectacular. 2 - THE COMFORT of being in the middle of the mountain and enjoying all the amenities offered by a modern home is a unique experience. We have put a lot of effort, time and love into the construction and decoration of the place, which will make you feel at home during your entire stay. 3 - CONNECTING with nature yourself will complete your enjoyment of Casa Coi! 4 - The FIREPIT for a lovely after dinner / end of evening marshmallow roasting and cup of somthing! This is a shared facility with our 4 other accommodations and we need advance notice if you wish to use it so that we can prepare it. Please just let us know if you wish us to set it up. Here are some THINGS TO CONSIDER before renting Casa Coi: 1 - LOCATION. We are located in the mountains above Antigua approximately 10-15 minutes by car from Antigua under normal traffic conditions. A single track road is involved which any type of moped, motorbike, car or 4x4 can access. Campervans and longer-based vehicles cannot pass. 2 - ACCESS to the property is by foot on our mountain resrve paths (which can be slippery). From arrival you will need to walk approximately 150 m downhill. If you bring heavy suitcases and lots of stuff, you will have to carry it all down & up the hill. It is better to travel light with a backpack or bags without wheels! Think glamping! Also please use appropriate adventure footwear. 3 - FOOD & DRINK - are available at our restaurant La Colmena Antigua. Please see our website for more details and to book a table. We can also organise picnics, packed lunches and meal kits in your room with notice should you need these services during your stay. 4 - PARKING / ARRIVING. You cannot park directly at your home as it is accessed via a footpath which is a few minutes walk up/down between your home and the local carpark. Our neighbours’ carpark 'parqueo' costs q75 in cash per 24 hours. There are no ATMs on the mountain so come prepared. 5. If you wish to arrive after 8pm, you must be comfortable to follow the detailed arrival instructions in the Airbnb app and you will need a torch for arrival after sunset (your phone torch should be sufficient). You can book a meet & greet for q300 if you are uncertain and this charge will be automatically applied if check-in assistance is required beyond 8pm.
