Here, you’ll find bidet toilets, towel warmers, and a high-end induction kitchen tucked inside a cozy, wood-clad retreat. Whether you are coming back from skiing Bear Valley (24 miles) or a walk around Snowshoe Lake, you can end your day with a cocktail by the fire or a hot soak in the deep tub. It is the ultimate cabin compromise. The space The Living Room The heart of the home is designed for choices. Sink into our unique swivel recliners that offer a 360-degree decision: turn one way to watch the crackling fireplace, another to catch a movie on the TV, or spin towards the picture window to watch the snow fall. We have a stash of board games ready for unplugged nights in. The Kitchen: Designed with the home cook in mind, this kitchen is fully equipped for everything from quick breakfasts to hearty post-ski dinners. ​Modern amenities: Induction stove, whisper-quiet dishwasher, and a touch faucet. ​Coffee: Your morning, your way. Choose from a drip machine, espresso machine, or a cold brew pitcher. Convenient ​Appliances: blender, rice cooker, slow cooker, and an air fryer/toaster oven combo. (some are in the cupboards) Sleeping Arrangements & Flex Room ​Bedroom 1 (Main Floor): A cozy Queen bed, perfect for crashing after a day on the slopes. ​Bedroom 2 / The "Flex" Room (Main Floor): This chameleon adapts to your needs. It features two twin beds that can be pushed together to form a makeshift King. ​Media Mode: We arrange the beds in an "L" configuration to act as a sectional sofa in front of the 65-inch TV (loaded with Netflix & Amazon Prime via Firestick). Bathrooms & Amenities We believe comfort is in the details. The downstairs bathroom is fully equipped with a shower, bidet toilet, and towel warmer, ensuring that no matter which floor you are on, you never have to step out of a shower into the cold air. The Primary Suite (2nd Floor Sanctuary) The entire second floor is dedicated to rest but is more than capable of remote work when needed. The primary bedroom features a Cal King bed and a private balcony, but the real showstopper is the en-suite bathroom. ​The Spa Experience: Step onto radiant heated floors before soaking in the standalone tub or rinsing off in the shower equipped with multiple heads. ​Luxury Touches: Yes, we have towel warmers and a bidet toilet here, too. ​Work From The Woods Need to log in? We have a professional-grade workspace tucked away discretely in the Primary Suite -- It only comes out when needed. It features a powered sit/stand desk, dual monitors, wireless keyboard/mouse, and your choice of two ergonomic office chairs. Lighting: Some lights are controlled by Alexa (and Alexa only): - "Alexa, turn on deck lights" - "Alexa, set living room to 100%" (or 50%, 20%, zero) - "Alexa, set cabin countertop to 100%" Bay windows lights, kitchen track lights, bedroom lights are on manual dimmers. Set your mood! ​Outdoor Living Step out onto the deck to grill on the propane BBQ or gather around the firepit. (Pro tip: Check the garage—if there is wood there, help yourself and get that fire roaring!) Guest access You have the run of the place! The entire cabin, deck, and main garage area are yours to enjoy privately. The only exceptions are a few locked personal closets inside the home and a partitioned storage section at the back of the garage. Other things to note Important Notes for our Guests: ​🐾 A Note on Pets: We love animals, but the owner has severe, medical-grade allergies to dander. To keep the cabin safe and habitable for us, we maintain a strict pet-free zone. If you are bringing a pet, we kindly ask that you book a different accommodation. ​❄️ Winter Access: We are in snow country! In winter, highway restrictions often require 4WD/AWD or chains. The good news? Once you arrive, you don’t have to worry about a steep climb—our driveway is flat and has room for up to 4 vehicles. ​🏠 Layout & Accessibility: For those with mobility concerns, please note: ​Entry: 4 steps from the garage or carport to the main deck/door. ​Interior: It is 13 steps up to the second floor (Primary Suite). ​🚽 Septic System: We are on a septic system (common for the mountains!). Please help us keep it running smoothly by flushing nothing but toilet paper.
