Casa Kennedy is a comfortable, lovely family home located at the heart of West Bay Beach. Our property offers a private beachfront area, air conditioning, high-speed fiber optic internet, and modern appliances for your convenience. Walk to a pool and swim to the coral reef in literally less than a minute, and return to the only family home on West Bay Beach. Casa Kennedy is the ideal spot for making unforgettable memories with your loved ones: sunsets, swims, privacy, access, and more. The space Casa Kennedy is the first home to be built on West Bay Beach. It is an historic home, neither old nor new, but ideally situated for upscale family bed and breakfast stays with quality American structure, wood, and design. The house was built in the United States and rearmed in Roatan. Our location is unbeatable - walk to pools within a minute but go home to a family residence. We have a staff that includes a neighborhood guard, cook/manager, and two drivers on retainer, along with the island's premier private security service and alarm systems. Our professional staff offers attentive services and is responsive around the clock, notwithstanding Sunday and Holiday celebration. WiFi is 75~Mbps fiber optic internet - perfect for Zoom and WFH. I have used it for Zoom conferences across the world. The home features a palm garden and attentive staff for cooking, cleaning, and private tours. We have fridges on both levels and offer complimentary water in a cooler device with standard hot, cold, and room temperature settings. Connected by an outdoor staircase, both floors are rented in the indicated price. Upstairs: Master bedroom: 1 Queen bed Guest room (1): One Full and One Twin Guest room (2): Two Twins Accommodates up to eight people. Downstairs: Master Bedroom: 1 Queen Living Room: 1 Sleeper Sofa Accommodates two to four guests. The house has a maximum capacity of 8 adults; case-by-case exceptions for overage. For example, we welcome 7 adults and 2 children and/or a baby. Fresh linens, bathing towels, and beach towels are changed each and every visit. However, we are not a hotel and do not offer unlimited towel replacement. We have approximately 30-40 towels for guests to use and we ask guests to respectfully consider this fact. We welcome guest video rentals on our media accounts. Bathrooms require mindful waste disposal due to the marine bio reserve - precisely, no plastics or excessive paper disposal into the fragile ecosystem and the plumbing. This is true of all of Roatán. The veranda upstairs also has a table for six and two large hammocks. The shaded garden is perfect for kids and relaxation. There is an outdoor shower. We are a minute swim to the reef. Access the house between the Argentinian Grille and Henry Morgan's Resort in the Emerald Beach neighborhood in West Bay. Several dive centers are within a hundred yards. We retain private security services who respond to potential incidents (usually beach vendors who are all along West Bay) very quickly. Note: We've never had any major security incident (theft/harassment) in over eight years hosting. Each restaurant and hotel in the vicinity also have private guards and the police regularly patrol the beach. In short, West Bay is quite secure, but people will want to sell you massages and shirts. While we are not the newest house—and I do emphasize that for those expecting boutique hotel quality services for large groups while paying per head hostel level prices (that is our competitive edge in this market place)—we ask prospective guests to think about supporting the expansion and evolution of a family business - my father's dream home that he built up as a surgeon and former Navy reservist, son of a Lt. Colonel in the US Armed Forces. Again, we look like a boutique hotel but charge hostel prices for large groups - that is the market reality. Please honor our generosity. My eventual goal is to build new units that are affordable and accessible to all, making West Bay more than just the haunt of those frequenting the more expensive resorts, allowing divers, veterans, and retirees longer, more relaxed stays. Guest access The entire house, garden, and private beach area and roped off ocean area are yours to enjoy with the rental. The roped off area in the water in front of the home is for the home owner's association. Nancy, the home manager, will provide keys to you directly. Transport: We can help arrange transportation and tours. Cleaning/Laundry: Inquire for rates. Nancy can assist/provide. Cooking/Babysitting/Groceries: Inquire for rates. Nancy can provide. Security: We use the island firm Bulldog security and there is a remote control, smart, digital security system. External Guests: We do not allow unregistered guests to come to the property or to change guest number during the stay. Parties: No parties are allowed at any time. Should you have any questions, please let us know. Other things to note There is air conditioning in all bedrooms and the upstairs living room. We have a water color with hot, cold, and room temperature settings and provide free water to drink throughout your stay. There are fridges on both levels. Guests are strongly encouraged to turn off A/C when not in use. Washer/dryer included for 1-2 washes per weekly stay. Please keep in mind electricity on the island is incredibly expensive. Lastly, we encourage service members (military, police, fire, health, et cetera), differently abled, medical professionals, and teachers and students to reach out for special discounts regardless of country of origin.
