The space This elegant modern colonial features a ceramic tiled kitchen and bathroom with a beautiful walk-in tiled shower and a comfortable wide loggia (porch) with traditional Mexican ambiance that overlooks gardens and valley. The dramatic rooftop area with palapa (thatched) roof and traditional equipale furniture provide a wonderful spot in which to relax and take in the 360-degree view above the tree tops with long vistas and town views. With twelve-foot ceilings and Mexican decor throughout, the spacious bedroom has a queen-sized bed and ceiling fan (as well as a/c) and the living room area can accommodate 1-2 smaller children on the built-in couch. (The house is great for 1-2 adults, perfect for a couple, good for a family with one small child and doable for a family with 2 small children.) Casita Limon is completely equipped with linens and towels as well as a convenient large kitchenette with four-burner stovetop, half-size refrigerator/freezer, (a similar refrigerator is on the roof and may be used by guests as well) blender, coffee pot, toaster, dishes/pots and pans, bottled water... all the things to make "mi casita, su casita." (We also have a small safe for your valuables, but only bring what you need!) The landscaped garden features a private outdoor shower (in addition to the one in the bathroom) to wash off the ocean salt as well as a large Mexican Cantera stone fountain. The casita features a shared and shaded walk up from the street (note there are 65 stairs) which puts the home among the trees and birds. There is no need for a car; everything is literally steps away. Casita Limon offers everything you'll need for a memorable Sayulita experience: comfort, convenience, lush surroundings and the experience of living in a true neighborhood. ** IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Sayulita is a lively town full of happy people, dogs, roosters, Chachalacas and iguanas. Come to surf, sun, hike, swim, shop in wonderful local stores, ride horseback and experience the wonderful cuisine and ambiance of a small Mexican town. Sayulita is a very hilly town; there are 65 stairs from the street to the front door. You really do get used to them, though! ;-) Guest access Casita Limon is a vertical duplex. There are two, completely separate apartments with good privacy. The first floor comprises the guest apartment with its own outdoor patio. The third floor roof area is like an outdoor living room with half walls, a palapa (palm frond) roof and a refrigerator. The roof is a great place to enjoy morning coffee or a beverage at dusk and also allows great bird watching. Many varieties of birds are attracted to our garden and fountain. The roof area is shared during some of the winter months when we (the owners) are in residence in the second floor apartment though we make every effort to give our guests preference. The stairs to the roof go past our apartment but please don't let that deter you enjoying the roof area; you are welcome to enjoy the space. Other things to note The closest airport is Puerto Vallarta (PVR); Sayulita is 35 kilometers to the north. The Compostela bus line has a bus from the airport to Sayulita every 20 minutes, until about 8:30 - 8:45 p.m. Ask us about details for the bus, a taxi or limosine service to Sayulita. There are 65 stairs from the street to the rental apartment.
