The area is exceptionally quiet—especially on weekdays, when local summer house owners are not visiting their properties. You will be staying in the heart of the world-famous Golden Circle, giving you very short travel distances to Geysir, Gullfoss, and Þingvellir National Park. Nearby are also two of Iceland’s hot-spring lagoon gems—interestingly, the oldest (Secret Lagoon) and the newest (Laugaras Lagoon, opened in October 2025). The house has 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms are the same size and can be arranged with either a double bed or two separate single beds. The large master bedroom features a queen-size bed, a walk-in wardrobe, and a private bathroom. Guest access The house is entirely for guests’ use Other things to note The house is located in the Icelandic countryside. Therefore, it can occasionally happen (once or twice a year) that the electricity goes out. However, the local electricians are very skilled and quick, and usually the outage lasts only a couple of hours. Snow may also fall in late autumn or spring. Since the house is not located directly by the main road, clearing the road can take some time. That’s why we recommend renting a 4x4 vehicle when booking in November or March, as the roads are generally passable with it during those months. This way, you’ll have fewer surprises when driving in Iceland and your journey will also be safer.
