You feel like an adventurer? Your biggest dream is to experience living on a coffee farm, living in nature? You want to know more about Nicaragua… We mean REALLY know? You are looking for the perfect place to relax? This place is for you! Finca El Arbol is not a usual place. It’s not just a bed, a kitchen and a living room. It’s not just accommodation. It’s much more. It’s about living in the beautiful coffee mountains of Nicaragua, surrounded by amazing luxurious nature. The space The room we offer is representative of our values and way of living : humble and rustic but cosy and comfy. There's three single beds and a window with a view on the garden. We're finishing a private kitchen with everything you need to cook delicious meals : pizza/bread oven, gas stove (to come soon, for now you can use the wood fired stove in the communal kitchen), coffee grinder and coffee making tools (we'll teach you how to make coffee like a pro if you're interested). Small tip : ask to our gardener if you need some fresh herbs or vegetables. We're also working on a private space with an amazing sofa and a huge library to rest and read the many books we have! A perfect place to relax with a good and hot infusion made with the garden lemongrass for example. There's lots of other spaces around where you can cozy up with a book or just see life on the farm pass by. There’s another shared living room where you will meet the people living and working on the farm. It’s a great opportunity to discover a new culture, a new way of seeing life. A total genuine and authentic immersion in the nicaraguan life… Welcome to the real Nicaragua ! Finca El Arbol is a real paradise where you can enjoy the altitude’s freshness but also take the time to observe some exotic birds, the hundreds of butterflies flying in the garden and of course the huge and beautiful trees growing in the farm. Furthermore, you can take a walk through the coffee farm (only 30 min to the highest point in the farm), trying to differentiate the varieties of coffee and of course admiring the stunning views ! Here, be ready to get out of your comfort zone. At least… just a little bit ;) Even if we do our best everyday to provide the best accommodation possible, you have to be aware that you’ll be in the nature. That’s why, it might be possible to regularly find small insects, dust or nature noises. No worries, nothing that will stop your deep sleep but we want you to know. It’s not a 5 star hotel but a 5 star experience, no doubt ! Another important point : there’s no wifi. We do think that living without the internet for a few days could be a really good detox for your mind ! And if you really need to surf on the web, the closest city is not far (only 30 minutes by bus). This place will allow you to reconnect with the nature… But before all : with yourself ! Guest access The farm is yours to roam. You will have your very own space: the bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom are to share with volunteers if there are any. And there's lots of communal space that you will share with the people living and working on the farm. Spend time in the traditional wood stove kitchen and learn 'the beat of the morning drum' so you know how to make fresh tortillas back home, share stories and experience with the people working there, or watch a Chuck Norris or Jean-Claude Van Damme movie. During your stay We don't live on the farm ourselves but there's always people who can assist you with any of your needs. We try to visit daily and are in contact several times throughout the day. Other things to note Even though this is a tropical climate, we are above 1000m and it can get quite chilly and rainy here, best to bring a sweater, pants and rain jacket.
