This 590 sq ft attached private studio suite features a cozy queen bed, pellet stove, kitchenette, full bath, & a private fenced backyard with patio seating and pasture views. Pet- and kid-friendly with a private keyed entry and free front-door parking—your perfect countryside getaway awaits. The space Important NOTE: guests booking July 11th. Please take into consideration before booking that breakfast on Sunday July 12th will be pastries delivered to you the night before instead of homemade breakfast. This is due to not being available to cook Sunday morning. Discover * Farm animals- We have horses, goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, turkeys, a goose, dogs, cats, and a ton of bunnies that love attention!!! Ask for a meet & greet for a hands on experience or come along and help feed and do the daily farm tasks. * Take a walk on one of the paths into our woods where you can find different nature forts or take a shot at our scavenger hunt * wonder through the gardens to the garden lounge, kids play kitchen and sandbox * Play structure with swings and slides * Get curious and find the different weavy tree forts and tunnels. * Find yourself in the trees in the big treehouse * Take our loaner bikes for a ride along the path through trees, along the river past the lake all the way into town for a cold beer at our local brewery. * Head to the river or lake for some swimming, fishing and sunbathing Want a better idea of what your experience will be like at "The Lavish Country Retreat"? Let me paint you a picture..... Its quiet, there is a faint smell of pine and fir tree that comforts and familiarizes the senses. Yours eyes relax to the soft glow of dimmed lights as your gaze settles on the dancing flame in the pellet stove. Music plays softly in the background and a hint of lavender relaxes the body further, allowing you to sink into the extra deep microfiber couch, and as one hand caresses a fur throw the mind drifts from a state of relaxation to a sound slumber, and you dream…. The dream draws you to a quaint cottage that upon your entry embraces you with warmth, attentiveness, and elaborate comfort. A grand lodge pole bed fit for a Queen (size) greets you beyond the door, and as you throw yourself upon it ready to embrace time standing still, you realize the bed is fitted with a mattress topper that feels “just right” (Goldilocks and Princess and the Pea approved), and with it sitting 3 feet 3 inches off the ground you realize you will be “sleeping on cloud 9”. Before you drift off, a breeze of fresh air caresses your cheek and you look up to see the ceiling fan gently rotating bringing the fresh country air from outside. You become motivated to move about and explore your new home. As you dream deeper you see your family and friends have joined you in the suite, eager to retreat from the hussle and bussel of busy everday life. Mom wants to wash the grim of the city off and is surprised to find lovely shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, stocked in the bath, and she promptly fills the tub full of bubble bath and soaks in the fragrant waters. Your close friend is excited to cook a meal and with a well equipped kitchen (toaster /air fryer oven combo, full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher) finds all the necessary utensils and spices to become the gourmet chef he has always dreamed of. Your Dad digs deep into the entertainment hutch and before he can put the flat screen TV, to good use, becomes distracted by a Directory listing activities and local sites, and begins planning his adventures for the coming days by utilizing the library of travel and recreation books and maps that are so readily available. Suddenly, you hear some commotion outside and everyone goes to the window to look. Your younger brother is playing in the backyard near the duck pond with the friendly black lab Boon. He is excited because he has just returned from his bike ride along the river and considering there are extra loaner bikes he wants to show everyone what he has discovered. He brags of hikes behind waterfalls, and climbing to the top of Bohemia Mountain, and is now in full adventure mode to play with all the animals on the farm and continues enjoying the fresh air . You notice the beach basket near the door filled with towels, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, water bottles, and beach toys and rush off with your brother to discover the rivers and lakes nearby. You return to the studio after exploring all you could explore and like any dream things seem a bit different than you left them. The linens and towels have been refreshed and laid out for use, that light glows softly in the dimmed lighting, there is hot water for tea, micro fleece robes have been laid out with slippers, and the fire in burning brightly. You wonder what enchanted faery (AKA turndown service, free of charge) could have known exactly what you needed to feel at home and relaxed. Realizing you need to tell someone of this experience to make it sure it is true, you plug your ipod into the docking station (or aux connection) to play your favorite mellow music and settle into the pillow laden couch, drag a cozy blanket over you and begin writing your story to email to your friends (because there is Wifi). There's a morning knock at the door, you wake up and look around, you are in the studio suite from your dream. You hear a knock again, are you still dreaming? You hear a soft sweet voice saying "Good morning, Breakfast delivery". You say "be right there" shake your head, and awaken to realize that your dream has become a reality. Guest access Enjoy full access to the entire studio with a private entry and key access, private fenced yard, and BBQ. You’re invited to explore the farm—wander through our gardens and berry patches, or interact with our friendly animals. Visit the peaceful pond, where you might spot a variety of birds and wildlife, or take a scenic walk through the woods along our trails. Along the way, discover hidden forts and a charming treehouse nestled among the trees. For your convenience, we offer complimentary Wi-Fi, free on-site parking, and bicycles for exploring the nearby paths. We look forward to making your stay both memorable and refreshing! Other things to note *the night of July 11 is at a discounted price due to breakfast not being served Sunday morning July 12. *Please be aware we are 15 miles South from downtown Cottage Grove in the Counrty. * There is NO cell phone service on your drive out here. Once you arrive you can hook up to our fast Internet that will also allow wifi calling. * We suggest having printed directions on hand, not all navigators work out here. * We are happy to say "We accept all types of animals". We have a pasture and barn for your horse or…?? All we ask is to let us know what type of animal and a little about them. Please no aggressive animals and to please pick up after them * The bed sits 3 feet 3 inches off the ground. There is a foot stools t(URL HIDDEN) assist you if need be. If you have extra people, they are welcome to pitch a tent ( $15 extra per person per night).
