Book our hands-on Animal Experience — meet horses, goats, roosters, pigs, and of course, our beloved Bonnie the spokes-pig — 100% goes to the animals. The space The Space The Coop is a private 2-bedroom, 1-bath retreat tucked behind charming red barn doors on Chicken Foot Ranch. Inside, you’ll find a cozy living area with a wood stove, a rustic kitchenette, and a sunny sitting nook with sweeping views of the ranch. The bedrooms are simple and inviting. The bathroom features country-style touches with a walk-in shower. Outside, a private deck offers a peaceful spot to enjoy coffee, sunsets, and the sounds of the ranch. The Coop blends farmhouse comfort with the beauty of open land, creating a warm, relaxing escape connected to the heart of Rooster Run Foundation. Animal Interaction at the Ranch At Chicken Foot Ranch, the animals live with the freedom, friends, and forage they deserve. Horses, goats, pigs, roosters, and donkeys roam large pastures, forming natural herds and bonds. Their days are spent grazing, playing, and exploring, just as they were meant to. Guests can book Animal Experiences to meet these incredible residents up close — brush a goat, feed a pig, or simply sit quietly while a curious rooster or donkey comes to say hello. All interactions are guided with kindness and respect, allowing the animals to choose how and when they engage. It's not a petting zoo; it's a peaceful sanctuary where every connection is built on trust, not expectation. Watching Bonnie, our self-appointed spokes-pig, greet visitors or seeing a horse nap under an old oak tree reminds us: this is what true freedom looks like. And by visiting, you help make it possible. Freedom at the Ranch At Rooster Run Foundation, freedom isn’t just a dream — it’s daily life. Jojo the lamb, raised by hand after being rejected at birth, roams the ranch like she owns it, often joining the dogs on their daily adventures. Our pigs, including Bonnie and her friends, wander large fields, root in the soil, nap under trees, and live as they were meant to — with space, choice, and joy. Our guardian dogs are free to patrol the property, keeping a watchful but gentle eye on their animal family. And some days, a few mischievous goats slip through the gates to explore beyond their pastures, adding a little extra spark to the ranch. Here, animals aren't confined — they’re trusted. Their friendships, movements, and even their mischief are celebrated parts of ranch life, reminding us every day that true rescue means giving back their dignity, choice, and spirit. The land Welcome to life, as the herd and the land experience it. Here at Chicken Foot Ranch, we allow the land to grow as part of the ecosystem, not separate from it. We don’t weedwhack or spray because these plants are not just “growth”—they are food, shelter, and medicine for the many animals who live here. The tall grasses, wildflowers, and varied plants protect soil health, support pollinators, and create safe spaces for small creatures who are essential to the balance of this environment. What grows here feeds someone—whether it’s a horse, a goat, a bird, or something much smaller. This is intentional. A little untamed, a little imperfect—and exactly what nature needs. Guest access Guest Access Guests at The Coop have access to the driveway, parking area, the Coop itself, and a private deck with beautiful ranch views - watch the morning pig and rooster feeding from your deck! To protect the freedom and comfort of our rescued animals, we kindly ask guests to stay within these areas unless they book an Animal Experience. Animal Experiences offer a unique chance to meet our horses, pigs, goats, roosters, and more — up close and guided — and 100% of the proceeds directly support their care. We highly encourage adding an Experience to your stay to truly connect with the heart of the ranch! Other things to note Animal Interaction Disclaimer Chicken Foot Ranch is a true working sanctuary, where animals live with freedom and joy. During your stay, you may encounter friendly pigs roaming the property, guardian dogs who love to greet guests (sometimes with enthusiastic jumps!), and roosters who proudly crow at all hours. While these moments add to the magic of the ranch, please be prepared for a little extra noise, muddy paws, and spontaneous animal hellos. We ask all guests to move slowly, respect the animals' space, and embrace the authentic spirit of sanctuary life.
