Basement next to the forest

We rent the basement under our house as a perfect place for a romantic weekend away, or a week of offsite work. Our villa is 5 min./400 m. walk from the Ridderoordse Bos. It is 30 min. by bike/10 min. by train to Utrecht. A fully equipped apartment with its own entrance of 60 m2 with kitchen, workplace, bedroom with 2 p. box spring (180*220), bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and spacious sauna! The patio garden is still under construction and will be ready by mid-March '25. The space The private entrance gives you maximum privacy. The residence is a former garage under our house and about 60m2 in size and was renovated to a high standard in 2021. The basement is very comfortable in terms of light and air: fully insulated and equipped with underfloor heating, front door, windows with a cuckoo on the side wall and ventilation system. The kitchen has a 6-person dining table with comfortable chairs, a 3-seater sofa, a 50-inch television with a Netflix guest account, a filled bookcase, a dresser with games, puzzles and a Bluetooth speaker. The kitchen is equipped with every comfort - only the dishes you will have to do by hand. A combi oven, 4-burner induction cooktop, refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, kettle, Nespresso machine (with cups) and milk frother. All the items for your breakfast can be found in the kitchen (inform us in advance about your dietary needs and allergens!). Furthermore, you will find everything you need to cook, from oil to herbs, oven dishes, pans and knives. You can easily control the lighting, temperature and air quality via the digital panel on the wall. The workplace consists of a spacious corner desk with electric sit/stand function, a desk chair, large screen, webcam, work light and super fast WiFi. The bedroom - also affectionately called the bedstee by us - is small but nice. There is a spacious box spring (180*220) with a down comforter, vintage nightstand and reading lights. The bathroom contains a large sauna (suitable for 3 people), a shower (at the moment it still has a 50 liter boiler, which requires economy with the water), toilet and sink. The use of the sauna is included, but we ask you to use the energy sparingly. Shampoo, shower gel and hand soap are provided. There are beautiful Yumeko bedding and towels (also for the sauna). Other things to note The accommodation is located under our house, to be exact under our living room. We have small children, and they can, especially in the winter period when we are indoors a lot, run around the house a lot. You can hear this in the basement as distant children's voices and commotion. Of course, we try to limit this and it will only be at a few moments of the day. In summer, we are mostly outside!
