Welcome to your new Happy Place in the amenity-rich, gated, Big Bass Lake, private community in The Poconos! This new chalet is a 4-bedroom, 4 full bathroom (10 guests max) on 1.1 acres of wooded grounds. It was thoughtfully appointed by Co-host Kathy, an interior designer, for family, friends, and fun! Whether you choose skiing, snowboarding, hiking, fishing, canoeing, swimming, or visiting one of the many nearby attractions, you won't be short on things to do! Perfect to make memories. The space Welcome to this spacious 3-story chalet, thoughtfully designed for relaxation, fun, and family gatherings. Top Floor: The upper level offers a private retreat with a king-size bed, full bathroom, and a large walk-in closet. There’s also a dedicated workspace for remote work, plus a cozy reading and lounging nook just outside the bedroom, overlooking the living and dining areas with a revolving bookcase and daybed — perfect for quiet downtime. Main Level: The heart of the home features a stunning kitchen with stainless steel appliances, white quartz countertops, a fully stocked coffee station, and a breakfast bar. The dining area, seating 8–10, shares a warm gas fireplace with the living room. Two sliding glass doors open to a huge wrap-around deck with outdoor dining for 10 and a Weber gas grill — ideal for al fresco meals and sunset views. This floor also includes two bedrooms: Primary Suite: King-size bed, ensuite full bathroom, washer & dryer, and a large walk-in closet stocked with family essentials (high chair, playpen, child gate). Second Bedroom: Queen-size bed with a walk-in closet, located across the hall from another full bathroom. Lower Level – The Fun Zone: Downstairs, you’ll find a bunkroom with a queen bed beneath a full bed and an additional full bathroom. Entertainment abounds with foosball and shuffleboard tables and an 85" big-screen TV. Enjoy movie nights or the big game from the oversized sectional sofa or the unique bleacher seating behind it. Extras & Outdoor Living: The front foyer is stocked with games and sports gear including, cornhole, tennis rackets, and life vests/paddles for the canoe at nearby Larsen Lake (just a 10-minute walk). Outdoors, unwind around the fire pit with cocktails or s’mores. Relax on one of the three sets of double porch swings or gather around the hanging table — a peaceful way to close out the evening. This chalet blends comfort, fun, and relaxation, making it the perfect Poconos getaway for families and friends alike. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, excluding the garage. Other things to note With an amenity pass, you will have access to three freshwater lakes and the community clubhouse, which includes an outdoor pool, a splash pad for children, and courts for basketball, tennis, and pickleball. Larsen Lake, located just half a mile from the house, features a sandy beach, a roped-in swim area with a lifeguard, a picnic area, a playground, a bathhouse, and both tennis and basketball courts. Kayak rentals are not available here, but we provide a three-person canoe with paddles and lifejackets for your use. In the winter months, the community offers a fitness center, an indoor pool, a sauna, ice skating, and a sledding and tubing hill. If you’re feeling adventurous, there are many nearby attractions to explore, including Camelback, Kalahari, Mohegan Sun, Mt. Airy Lodge, Great Wolf Lodge, and Montage Mountain, along with many more local favorites. Please note: To access amenities, guests age seven and older must purchase passes at the administration office. Costs are $8 per person per day on weekdays, $10 per person per day on weekends, $30 per person for a weekly pass, and $50 per person for holiday weeks. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed due to family allergies, and smoking is strictly prohibited.
