Under the Oak - a cosy forest retreat.

A lovingly restored & cosy studio apartment on the plot of our family home, surrounded by meadows and ancient woodland. Under the Oak is nestled on the edge of the woodland and is a private, self contained 1 bed apartment with log burner, underfloor heating, fully equipped kitchenette & private patio with dining area and fire pit. From mountain walks & wild swimming to cosy pubs and farmers markets, there are lots of adventures on the doorstep here. Usk > 10 mins Abergavenny > 20 mins The space Our plot is peaceful and secluded and is surrounded by woodland. There’s about 8 acres in total of meadows and ancient woodland. The studio, along with our other guest room, is attached to our family home, where we live with our two young children. There are lots lovely pubs and restaurants nearby, but the kitchenette has an oven, hob, sink, fridge, toaster & kettle so you can cook at home if you want. There is underfloor heating and a log burner to keep you warm. Level access walk in shower. Flat screen TV for film nights. We are very respectful of guests space and privacy, but we also value connection and are always available for a chat and any local recommendations. We have lovely walks on our doorstep, and some amazing walks a little further afield into the Brecons. Guest access Guests have access to their own private patio area and are welcome to explore the woodland (which we are only just starting to explore and make paths through, it is very steep!), but please just mention to us first if you plan to do so. Other things to note We have two rooms here that sit side by side, let us know if you'd like to book both together. No parties please :)
