Easily accessible and a perfect base for exploring the Dordogne. The space Gîte Le Viennois has been lovingly furnished to make you feel right at home. The spacious gîte is ideal for families or a stay with friends, in the middle of the green heart of the Dordogne. The cosy living area with a fireplace forms the heart of the house. At the long dining table, you can enjoy lavish breakfasts, long dinners and cosy evenings together. The gîte has a fully equipped kitchen, three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms, so everyone has plenty of space and privacy during their stay. Through the doors, you can step straight onto the private terrace. Start the day with breakfast in the morning sun and end it with a nice glass of wine while looking out over the pool and the park-like garden. Children have plenty of space to play, while parents enjoy peace and quiet, nature and the French outdoors around Moulin du Clapier. Thanks to its central location, Gîte Le Viennois is an ideal base for exploring the Dordogne — from charming villages and markets to châteaux, hiking trails and the truffle region around Sorges. When fully booked, the swimming pool is shared. Next to Gîte Le Viennois is our 4-person gîte, La Banette. In the low season, our studio gîte La Ficelle for 2 people can also be rented. There is a television in the gîte for cosy evenings indoors. You can easily stream your own films and series via a dongle you bring with you, such as Chromecast or Fire Stick. There is no fixed TV subscription, but there is good Wi-Fi.🛜 Guest access Guests have access to the large park-like garden and the swimming pool, which are shared with the other accommodation units on the estate. Thanks to the spacious layout, there are plenty of nice spots everywhere to relax, play or enjoy the French outdoors together. Scattered around the garden, you will find a lounge area with a fire pit, a pétanque court, children's play equipment and various seating areas in the sun and shade. Part of the grounds is private and not accessible to guests. This area is cordoned off, partly because of Gerard's beehives. Our own honey is also available in season. There is a basket with toys and pétanque balls for young and old next to the lounge set, which guests are free to use. Other things to note Good to know 😊 🏠 The gîte is fully self-catering. Upon arrival, we provide a starter supply of: • one toilet roll per toilet • one bin bag per bin • hand soap and washing-up liquid In addition, bed linen, a tea towel set and towel sets for the number of guests booked are included. During your stay, you can replenish additional consumables and personal items yourself if you wish. 🌿 There are several accommodation units on the grounds, spread across the estate to ensure peace and privacy. When fully booked, the swimming pool is shared. 🏊🏼 The swimming pool is normally open from 1 June to 31 August. Outside this period, it is usually closed. 🐾 Dogs are very welcome, provided they are kept on a lead on the premises. Our own animals also live here and feel at home on the estate. We kindly ask owners to tidy everything up so that everyone can enjoy a clean and pleasant stay. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒 For safety reasons, we consider the accommodation less suitable for children under 5 years of age. 📺 There is a television in the gîte. Films and series can be easily streamed via a dedicated dongle (such as Chromecast or Fire Stick). There is no fixed TV subscription, but there is good Wi-Fi. 🛜 This accommodation is part of a characterful estate with several residences. Part of our studio gîte is located above this accommodation, which means that in the low season, there may sometimes be slight noises from daily living. The studio gîte is not rented out during the summer months. 🔋 From 1 October to 30 April, electricity consumption is calculated separately based on usage. These costs will be settled upon departure via Wero or in cash. 🧽 For stays longer stays than 5 days, we charge a cleaning fee of €50, payable on departure via Wero or in cash. 🚗 Thanks to its central location, Le Moulin du Clapier is an ideal base for exploring the Dordogne. The estate is located on a main road, but thanks to the green grounds and spacious layout, guests can enjoy complete peace and quiet and the relaxing French outdoor life.
