Seven minutes from USAFA north entrance. Enjoy beautiful country setting but very close to shopping and area attractions. The space Do you need a comfortable and convenient place to stay for the Air Force Academy Graduation or for Parent’s weekend? Or maybe you're here on vacation? We are located just 7 minutes north of the Air Force Academy and we open the lower level of our home (1,300 square feet) for others to enjoy. When you come into your private entrance, you’ll find 2 bedrooms with comfy queen beds, a living room with sleeper sofa, work-out area (treadmill, weights, and recumbent bike), kitchenette (includes pots and pans, stove plate, microwave, small fridge and dinnerware), a library, dining table, and a full bath. Just outside your entrance is a hot tub, fire pit, and stunning mountain views. Bring your hiking shoes! You are also likely to see deer, fox, and maybe even elk during your stay. We try to keep your space sanitized and clean for you. No pets or smoking on the property. (Although you'll see deer, llamas, horses, cattle, and some Texas longhorns on the drive to our place) Washer and dryer available upon request. Are you a writer? I’m a writing coach—I’ve published books with 5 major Christian publishers. I also offer private writing retreats in our home. If you need a quiet and inspiring place to write, you might want to use the area for a retreat. Talk to me about separate times for me to coach you on your project. Guest access Hot tub, exercise equipment, fire pit, grill, large flat screen TV, kitchenette (with all cookware and a hot plate and toaster oven), Wi-Fi, and full lower level of home. You will also have free access of the beautiful back yard area (we reserve the upper deck off our bedroom for ourselves). Other things to note 6 minutes to grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy and medical emergency. 7 minutes from Air Force Academy north entrance. 15 minutes from Focus on the Family. 20 minutes from Garden of the Gods and Glen Eyre Castle. 40 minutes from Denver's most exclusive shopping mall. 1.5 hours from white water rafting. 2 hours from skiing. 1 second from breathtaking Colorado stars at night. Also, BIKING TRAILS! 5 minutes from the Sante Fe Trail with over 40 miles (north and south of us) of wide, gravel packed bike trails that begin at Palmer Lake and go south into Colorado Springs and Manitou.
