Farmhouse – Animals & Relaxing Stay

You will stay as close as possible to our animals, which make up all the charm of the place: donkey, Highland cow, pig, goats, peacocks, chickens, rabbits... An authentic and rejuvenating setting, ideal for a break in the countryside. The gîte of the Arche des Hays has been carefully furnished in an old stable, at the end of our typical farmhouse. Nestled in the countryside, it offers you a true haven of peace, away from the hustle and bustle, in a quiet and natural environment. The space On the ground floor, you will discover a warm stay, equipped with a sofa bed (120 x 190). Perfect for a moment of rest, reading or relaxing, it can also be used as an extra bed, especially for one or two children. The space is designed for your relaxing moments with family, lovers or friends: a dining table welcomes you for meals, and a piece of furniture contains board games, books, as well as washable colorings for the little ones. Enough to share beautiful moments, no matter the weather! To your left, the kitchen opens to a pleasant view of the outside. It is equipped with a refrigerator, a gas hob, an oven, as well as everything you need to prepare your meals: cake and gratin mussels, pots, pans, not to mention some essential condiments like salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. For your gourmet breaks, you will also find tea, coffee, as well as a piston coffee maker at your disposal. The bathroom, of atypical proportions, is distinguished by a ceiling with reduced height (2 m), keeping the authentic charm of the old stable during the renovation. There is a large spacious shower (90 x 140), toilet and sink. For your convenience, we provide bath towels as well as shower gel and shampoo. Upstairs, a charming little attic room welcomes you, very cozy, with a beautiful skylight at the foot of the bed that offers breathtaking views of the outside . A comfortable queen bed (160x200) has been installed, ready to welcome you with freshly prepared bed linen upon your arrival. A shelf is also available to store your belongings. Outside, a charming gravel terrace, embellished with pretty flowers and surrounded by greenery, invites you to relax. A table with chairs will allow you to fully enjoy the peaceful setting. The surrounding trees offer beneficial shade throughout the day, perfect for admiring animals, savoring nature, or even embarking on a game of molkky. A small barbecue, accompanied by wood, will also be available for convivial moments outdoors. During your stay, we will be delighted to offer you a gourmet breakfast and a tasty aperitif board, made from fresh farm produce and homemade. These options are available upon request, with an additional fee. 🥐 Breakfast: fresh bread, homemade jams, our “Caramiel” (salted butter and honey caramel), farm honey, homemade cookies, juice, milk, butter, fresh eggs, yogurt... Aperitif 🧀 board: an assortment of Jura cheeses, zucchini pickles, homemade county gougères, and other small surprises depending on the season. You can also book a visit of about 45 minutes to meet our animals and share a special moment with them. Discover the fascinating world of bees with a one-hour beekeeping initiation, offered by Corentin, who is a beekeeper. Immersed in the heart of our beehives, learn the basics of beekeeping, and take a fresh look at these precious pollinators. This unique experience is available by reservation, on sunny days, for €50. And if you feel like a taste of the local cuisine, feel free to ask Tiffen to cook a traditional Jura meal. She will be happy to prepare typical dishes like cancoillotte or Mont d 'Or potatoes, vegetables from the vegetable garden, mushroom crust, and more.
