Farmhouse – Animals & Relaxing Stay

You will stay as close as possible to our animals, which make up all the charm of the place: donkey, Highland cow, pig, goats, peacocks, chickens, rabbits... An authentic and rejuvenating setting, ideal for a break in the countryside. The gîte of the Arche des Hays has been carefully furnished in an old stable, at the end of our typical farmhouse. Nestled in the countryside, it offers you a true haven of peace, away from the hustle and bustle, in a quiet and natural environment. The space On the ground floor, you will discover a warm living room, equipped with a sofa bed (120 x 190). Perfect for a moment of rest, reading or relaxation, it can also be used as an extra bed, especially for one or two children. The space is designed for your moments of relaxation with family, lovers or friends: a dining table welcomes you for meals, and a piece of furniture contains board games, books, as well as washable coloring books for the little ones. Something to share beautiful moments, no matter the weather! On your left, the kitchen opens onto a pleasant view of the outside. It is equipped with a refrigerator, a gas hob, an oven, as well as everything you need to prepare your meals: cake and gratin molds, pots, pans, not to mention some essential condiments such as salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. For your gourmet breaks, you will also find tea, coffee, and a French press at your disposal. The bathroom, with atypical proportions, is distinguished by a low ceiling (2 m), thus retaining the authentic charm of the old stable during the renovation. There is a large spacious shower (90 x 140), a toilet and a sink. For your comfort, we provide bath towels as well as shower gel and shampoo. Upstairs, a charming little attic room welcomes you, very cozy, with a beautiful dormer window at the foot of the bed that offers stunning views of the outside. A large comfortable bed (160 x 200) has been installed, ready to welcome you with freshly prepared bed linen upon your arrival. A shelf is also available to store your belongings. Outside, a charming gravel terrace, decorated with pretty flowers and surrounded by greenery, invites you to relax. A table with chairs will allow you to fully enjoy the peaceful setting. The surrounding trees offer a beneficial shade throughout the day, perfect for admiring the animals, enjoying nature, or even embarking on a game of molkky. A small barbecue, accompanied by wood, will also be available for convivial moments outdoors. During your stay, we will be happy to offer you a gourmet breakfast and a tasty aperitif board, based on fresh farm products and homemade. These options are available upon request, with an extra charge. 🥐 Breakfast: fresh bread, homemade jams, our "Caramiel" (salted butter and honey caramel), farm honey, homemade cookies, juice, milk, butter, fresh eggs, yogurts... 🧀 Aperitif board: an assortment of Jura cheeses, zucchini pickles, homemade Comté gougères, and other little surprises depending on the season. You can also book a visit of about an hour to discover our animals and share a special moment with them. Discover the fascinating world of bees with a one-hour beekeeping introduction, offered by Corentin, who is a beekeeper. Immersed in the heart of our hives, learn the basics of beekeeping and leave with a new perspective on these precious pollinators. This unique experience is available by reservation, during the sunny days, at the price of €50. And if you feel like tasting the local cuisine, don't hesitate to ask Tiffen to concoct a traditional Jura meal for you. She will be happy to prepare typical dishes such as potatoes with cancoillotte or Mont d'Or, vegetables from the vegetable garden, mushroom crusts, and many other delicacies.
