Cliffside at Piney Falls - Creek Access - Sweeping Views
Description
Set high on a cliff, the cabin commands sweeping views above the soothing sounds of spring-fed Piney Creek Falls. This isn’t just a stay; it’s an exploration. Take in the panoramic vistas from the covered porch, then find the fire pit deck where a staircase descends through an opening in the cliff wall. A third deck is tucked between rock and water. With torches and fire pits on each level, nights under the stars are as magical as days spent fishing or exploring in a provided kayak. The space Perched high on a limestone cliff overlooking a premier stretch of crystal clear Piney Creek, this unique 2-bedroom cabin offers a perspective you won't find anywhere else. **Three Levels of Phenomenal Views!** Unlike most properties where the view is limited to the top, we’ve designed the stay so you have a phenomenal vantage point from every single level: • The Covered Cabin Porch: Located right outside the back door. This is the ultimate spot for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. It offers some of the most amazing views on all of Piney Creek and the soothing sound of the cascading falls directly below. Facing west, it's the perfect spot to watch the evening colors light up the sky. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, hawks and herons that often glide by. • The Cliff-Edge Deck: A mid-level escape with a gas firepit and torches. It feels like a private balcony suspended over the water, providing a breathtaking, bird's-eye view of the creek’s widest point. • The Creek Deck: This huge deck, with torches and a second gas firepit, is tucked at the bottom of the rock stairs, nestled against the cliff. Even from this secluded spot at the water's edge, the views are spectacular as you look up at the stone walls and across the shimmering, crystal-clear creek. **Magical Evenings** The magic doesn't fade when the sun goes down; it simply transforms. We’ve designed our outdoor spaces to come alive at night, casting a spell of warmth and light across the property. Just steps from the cabin, a private fire ring awaits for starlit conversations and the nostalgic crackle of a wood-burning campfire. Across two additional levels, dozens of strategically placed torches bathe the massive stone walls in a flickering amber light. The reflection off the rock creates an ethereal, otherworldly glow that feels more like a dream than a destination. From the crackling wood fire near the cabin to the ease of gas firepits perched over the creek, every level offers a new way to experience the night. Surrounded by flickering torchlight and ancient stone, the atmosphere is, quite simply, pure magic. **Prime Piney Creek Waterfront** The water here is crystal clear year-round. Whether you’re looking for adventure or a natural spa day, the creek is the heart of the property. Grab a fishing pole, or our complimentary kayaks to explore the wide, scenic stretches of the creek - or simply wade in and let the spring-fed water cool you off. For the ultimate relaxation, sit at the foot of the falls and let the rushing water provide a natural massage. Without a doubt, this is one of the most peaceful spots in the Ozarks. As you soak in the surroundings, keep an eye out for our local neighbors - deer, turkeys, otters, and beavers are frequent visitors to these banks. **Modern Comforts, Rustic Soul** Inside, the cabin feels cozy and grounded with hardwood floors and warm wood walls. On chilly evenings, you can curl up by the wood-burning stove to truly soak in the cabin atmosphere. While we are tucked away, you’ll still have high-speed Wi-Fi and a Smart TV if you need to stay connected. A Note on Service: Unlike many rentals in the area, we handle all the trash for you. We want your departure to be as stress-free as your stay. **Celebrate with our Hidden Alcove Twilight Experience ($175):** For those celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, or a romantic getaway, we offer an exclusive experience that transforms your stay into something truly magical. This package grants you total, private exclusivity of our entire waterfront for the evening. Your journey begins at the deck at the top of the stairs, where a glowing fire and flickering torches already welcome you to the cliff's edge. Here, you can linger by the warmth and enjoy your chilled sparkling cider (or byob), as the forest begins its transition into twilight. When you are ready, you’ll descend through the rock wall into a hidden world. Torches and tea-candles lining the stairway will light your path down the cliff face, leading you to where the music is softly playing and a second gas firepit is already glowing on the bottom deck. As the daylight fades behind the canopy of trees, the added fairly lights, dozens of torches, and tea-candles tucked into the natural cracks of the rock face are already burning. Their light reflects off the towering cliff walls, creating a golden sanctuary that feels entirely otherworldly. A premium charcuterie board will be waiting for you in the Hidden Alcove to enjoy in complete, undisturbed solitude. It is an unforgettable way to watch the darkness settle over the water with someone you love. Please note: At least 72-hour advanced ordering is required for this experience. While we cannot legally provide alcohol, you are more than welcome to bring your own favorite wine or champagne! Just let us know, and we are happy to have it ready as part of your experience. Guest access **A Note on Shared Spaces: Unless the "Hidden Alcove" experience is booked, the firepit decks and/or creek access are at times shared with us as owners, and/or with our other guests. However, we are always mindful of your stay and aim to ensure you have plenty of quiet time to enjoy the water and decks on your own! Other things to note ** Spacious Upper Level 2nd Bedroom for 3-4 Guests** The Space & Tiered Pricing : We use a flexible, tiered pricing structure to keep the cabin affordable for smaller groups, giving you full access to the space you actually need: 1–2 Guests: Enjoy a cozy, one-bedroom getaway with full, exclusive use of the main level. The upper level is neatly partitioned off with a privacy curtain, and you receive a discounted rate. 3–4 Guests: Opens the cabin up as a full two-bedroom experience, unlocking the entire upper suite and extra amenities. (The second bedroom can also be opened for 2 guests for an extra $30 per night upon request). Please ensure your reservation accurately reflects your total guest count so we can have the correct space and amenities fully prepared for your stay. As a reminder, unregistered guests are not allowed on the property at any time. Upper Suite Layout: When booked for 3–4 guests, the second bedroom suite occupies the entire upper level, offering a quiet, spacious retreat from the main floor. Access & Privacy: The suite is accessed by a flight of walled stairs. The Entrance: There is no door at the top of the landing, creating a seamless, open transition into the room while remaining entirely separate from the rest of the cabin. The Footprint: With a generous floor plan, this level offers plenty of room to spread out, unpack, and completely relax. **Location & Privacy** We are located about 8 miles from the historic town of Calico Rock. While the cabin is peaceful, please note it is not isolated deep in the wilderness; we are part of a small creekside community. You will see neighboring homes as you arrive, and one is quite close and visible from the cabin. However, the cabin is oriented for seclusion where it matters most: the back deck overlooking the water is all yours and feels very private. Once you head down the stairs, the lower decks and creek area are completely secluded with no other properties in sight. We live on the adjacent acreage in the barndominium you’ll pass on the way in. Our home is built away from the creek and is not visible from the cabin, so you will have plenty of space to yourselves. That said, if you need anything during your stay, we’re close by and happy to help! A heads-up on the terrain: If you aren't used to Arkansas backroads, the dirt section of your trip can feel a bit daunting. While it is totally doable in a standard car (our neighbor drives a sedan and we've had Teslas visit), the road will be rocky with potholes and "washboard" sections. Plan to take it slow. From Calico Rock or Mountain View: About 15 minutes of gravel. From Melbourne: About 30 minutes of gravel.
