The space Named White Oak, the home is located in the town of Byhalia—whose name comes from the Chickasaw word for “great white oak.” True to its name, the house sits beneath several beautiful white oak trees—including one especially grand tree that the back porch was thoughtfully built around. It’s a quiet tribute to the deep roots and natural beauty of the land. Located in the Memphis, TN area just off of I269 for easy access to any nearby town! White Oak is about 10 minutes from Olive Branch, 20 minutes from Collierville, 30 minutes from Southaven or Germantown and 35 minutes to the Memphis airport. Also located about an hour from Oxford, perfect for those flying into Memphis to visit the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) or those looking for an affordable place to stay for ballgames. Every room in White Oak is a visual delight—filled with carefully curated vintage pieces, timeless artwork, and thoughtful touches that make the space feel both inspiring and homey. From cozy corners perfect for reading to conversation-starting antiques and decor, the house invites you to slow down and enjoy its charm. Whether you're sipping coffee in the sunroom or relaxing in the comfortable living room, you'll find that every detail has been chosen to create a warm, welcoming, and unforgettable stay. This lovely old home is full of charm and character—not perfection. Over the years, it’s developed a beautiful patina—that warm, lived-in look that only time can give. But don’t let the vintage vibes fool you: every surface has been thoroughly cleaned, repaired, replaced, or carefully encapsulated to ensure a safe and comfortable stay. You might see signs of age beneath the surface, but rest assured—what needs love has gotten it, and what needs cleaning definitely has too. If you're looking for pristine and polished, this might not be your match. But if you appreciate a home with a history, quirks that tell a story, and a cozy, welcoming feel, you'll feel right at home. This home has a studio apartment in the back with a long term tenant. The home is well insulated between the two spaces with very few actual shared walls. Each place has its own entrance, separate parking and separate outdoor spaces. They do share a driveway. Quiet Hours are 11:00 pm - 8:00 am. Each bedroom features a comfortable Queen-sized bed and comes with an extra blanket for added coziness. Every bedside includes a convenient outlet with a USB port for easy charging. The living room offers a pull-out couch to accommodate additional guests. There are two full bathrooms, each stocked with large, pump-style shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Hair dryers are provided in both bathrooms for your convenience. A full-sized iron and ironing board can be found in the “Pink Room,” and a full-sized washer and dryer are located in the back sunroom. The living room is equipped with a smart TV featuring Disney+ and ESPN+. You’re welcome to log into your own accounts for other streaming services. Please note, there are no TVs in the bedrooms. We provide a starter supply of essentials, including toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, and dishwasher pods. In the kitchen, you’ll find a Mr. Coffee drip coffee maker, along with an initial supply of coffee, sugar, and creamer. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils—everything you need to feel right at home. No Pets, No Smoking Parties or Events MUST be pre-approved. Guest access You’ll have full access to the entire home, including 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room, a well-equipped kitchen, two dining areas, and a beautiful sunroom—the perfect spot to enjoy stunning sunsets. The sunroom features a ping pong table, a cozy sitting area, and a washer and dryer. While there is a window unit for extra comfort, most days you can simply open the screened windows and enjoy the breeze. You’ll also have covered parking in the carport, plus access to two lovely outdoor spaces: a charming courtyard and a back porch that connects to the carport and sunroom. Additional parking is available on the right side of the driveway, along the row of pine trees. Pack ‘N Play available upon request.
