Cosy cabin situated in a private space in the garden of our home and looks out over stunning scenery across fields mountains and the sea. Made by a skilled craftsman, it has a grass roof and is insulated with sheep wool for year round comfort. It is truly a unique cosy cabin with a wonderful calm feel. Our guests comment on the comfortable bed and excellent night's sleep! The perfect location for exploring Skye, but stunning scenery right here. The space Our cabin is perfectly located to explore the Isle of Skye. We are 4 miles from Armadale with the ferry to Mallaig, the beautiful gardens of Armadale Castle, our very well stocked local community shop, and with inns, award winning restaurants, cafes and art galleries all a short drive away. To the North we look out over fields with sheep grazing, migratory geese, and occassionaly deer on the hillside. In Spring we hear the cuckoos, in Autumn the deer rutting. We have seen sea eagles fly overhead, owls call out in the trees close by, buzzards and many songbirds. To the East we look to the mountains of Knoydart and the Sound of Sleat. Our cosy cabin sleeps two in a raised traditional box bed with a large reclaimed porthole salvaged from an Ocean Liner allowing views through the sitting area to trees. A simple living area has everything needed for a comfortable, restful holiday. The kitchen is equipped with an airfryer, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. Plentiful hot water and an excellent shower. This is a space to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, explore local lanes, ruined castles, visit art galleries and enjoy the stunning landscape of sea, mountains, trees and moors. Guest access Cherry Tree Cabin is for your sole use during your stay. Parking is right next to the cabin on a gravelled driveway and is approached off the township lane through a metal farm gate. A small raised deck with garden seat looks out over the fields. Other things to note We are unable to accept pets. There are unfenced ponds in our garden. Registration details HI-31553-F
