Typical stone house in a mountain hamlet in the heart of the Cantal mountains. Go hiking on the most beautiful trails of the massif or hit the slopes of the nearby Lioran ski resort. The village of Chazes is perched at an altitude of 1200 m, facing the Plomb du Cantal and just below the Puy Griou. For lovers of nature and wide open spaces, this is the perfect place as a starting point to enjoy the mountain. The space Until about fifteen years ago, this house was a refuge used by Scouts during their mountain stays. It is a typical village house of mountain hamlets, set against the slope and surrounded by other houses to protect from the cold in winter, with southern openings to let in the sun in summer. Ideally located at the foot of the trails, you can leave directly from the house for your hikes in the massif. The village is peaceful and your children can play without constraint. The Lioran ski resort is a 5-minute drive away. In the house, completely renovated in 2024, you will find on the ground floor an entrance from the lower street, a large bedroom with 4 beds, a bathroom and a toilet. Upstairs is a second entrance overlooking the upper street, a living area with living room, dining area and kitchen. The house is equipped with a pellet stove. In the attic, two other bedrooms with 2 beds each, a bathroom with toilet and a reading area. Outside, a terrace will allow you to enjoy the view of Puy Griou and Plomb du Cantal. A private parking space for 1 vehicle and a shelter to store skis, bicycles, stroller... Finally, the house is equipped with a sauna for 2 people. Guest access The entire property is accessible. Winter access to the hamlet can be difficult. The road is cleared of snow by the municipality but in case of heavy snowfall, special equipment is mandatory (snow tires, chains, socks). Other things to note I provide enough to start your stay with toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tablets. I do not provide any food products however previous tenants may leave salt, pepper, spices... Winter access to the hamlet requires special equipment
