Nestled in the picturesque setting of Ipstones Edge, Clockwork Studio is a beautiful barn conversion situated on a 60-acre working farm. The Staffordshire Moorlands location feels blissfully remote. However, it’s less than 10 minutes from Alton Towers, making it ideal for a family break away. Less than 20 mins from Foxtail Barns Wedding Venue. This is a popular location for walking, cycling, hiking, and climbing in the Peak District. Please note: This is for a maximum of two adults only. The space A Countryside Gem, Ready to Welcome You Our one-bedroom studio barn is finally complete - the result of a true labour of love, with more than a little dust, sweat, and laughter along the way. My husband Stephen, with 40 years of experience in the building trade, has poured his heart into this conversion. Family and friends all played their part too – even our granddaughter Orla, age 7, who took charge of sweeping duties with great enthusiasm! The barn is now finished to a high standard and designed with comfort in mind. Inside you’ll find: A bright and airy open-plan living space, perfect for two. A fully equipped kitchen (yes, there’s an oven for proper cooking!). A modern bathroom with a generous shower. A spacious private patio, ideal for morning coffee, lazy afternoons with a book, or simply soaking up the peace and quiet of the countryside. This isn’t just a place to stay - it’s a home built with love, laughter, and plenty of care. Whether you’re after a quiet escape, a base for countryside walks, or simply a cosy retreat, our barn is ready to welcome you. We’d love for you to be part of the next chapter in its story. Please note - this accomodation is for a maximum of two people in total. One parking space is included. Additional parking can sometimes be accommodated, but must be agreed in advance. Extra vehicles are charged at £10 per vehicle, per night. Guest access Clockwork Studio is situated on Ipstones Edge. It's down a private 'rustic' farm drive, roughly 400m from the main road. There is space for one car. If you require more than one parking space, please let us know in advance, and we'll see if we can accommodate. Extra cars will be charged at £10 per vehicle, per night. Other things to note Clockwork Studio is for people keen to enjoy a tranquil break. If you’re looking for a hen weekend venue or accommodation for a wild party, this isn’t the place to book. Parties and events are not allowed. We live on the property and want to host groups seeking peace and relaxation. We mentioned above that this is a working farm, but don’t worry; you won’t be disturbed by tractors growling through the night or milking kicking off at 4 am. However, there are cows here. We breed Dexters and have around 50. They’re kept in a shed on the other side of the farm in the winter months and are out in the fields during the summer. So do expect to hear some mooing. This brings us to our next point. Because of the cattle, we cannot allow pets. Please accept our apologies; no dogs or cats are permitted, humans only. We do have Wi-Fi. This is via a hotspot connection through 5G. It is not a traditional wired connection, so you may need to reconnect occasionally. So, if your stay is dependent on an excellent and solid Wi-Fi connection, Clockwork Studio may not be for you. Please note: we can accommodate a maximum of two people in this studio.
