Whether you're just passing through or planning a month-long stay, I've put great effort into creating a unique and delightful experience that blends Old Florida charm with modern comforts—one you'll surely want to revisit and share with friends. The space The Blue Heron Hideaway is conveniently located only a few steps from the legendary Yearling restaurant offering the best in authentic Florida cuisine. The property offers off street parking with room for an additional vehicle or boat trailer parking. It’s lush tropical landscape creates a paradise-like atmosphere in the heart of the creek. From the back porch you can observe all kinds of wildlife (song birds, ducks, squirrels, 3-5 foot alligators, and occasional peacocks) as it overlooks a side canal that empties out into the main creek (Cross Creek) that connects two large lakes -Orange Lake and Lochloosa. If the mosquitoes are out you can relax on the fully screened-in porch overlooking the deck and watch TV, read, listen to music or enjoy the sounds of the creek. Relax beneath the starry sky, warmed by the glow of a crackling fire at the creek-side fire pit. For adventure seekers we have kayaks, canoes and paddle boat features coming soon.
