Sleeps up to six across two double bedrooms and a sofa bed, wake to views across the Surrey Hills, wander through the kitchen garden, and end the day at our lovely local pubs. The space Parts of Elmore Pond Cottage date back to 1680, when it was built as part of the Elmore Estate — and you feel that history the moment you cross the threshold. Renovated in 2022 -this is a house that has settled into itself over three centuries. Two double bedrooms sleep four in proper beds, with a sofa bed for two more — comfortably accommodating families, groups of friends, or anyone who simply wants more room to spread out. The cottage is warm, well-equipped, and looked after with care. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the full cottage and all its grounds. Inside: two double bedrooms, full bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting room with seating for six. Outside: private fenced garden with Weber BBQ. You have access to the kitchen garden, manicured lawns, woodland garden for the duration of your stay. Views from the garden look across the Surrey Hills and our 400 year old oak tree. The lane opposite leads directly to Chipstead Meads and Elmore Pond. Other things to note Elmore Pond Cottage is a historic property with all the character that implies — original stone walls, period features, and the occasional creak that tells you this house has stories to tell. The White Hart pub is a five-minute walk and serves excellent food and local ales. Coulsdon South station (for London) is a short drive or taxi ride. Regular trains run to London Bridge, St Pancras and Victoria. We are only 10 miles from central London so the village traffic can be busy. We are in the Surrey Hills Natural park so there are plenty of walks accessible from the house. Dogs are more than welcome!
