The space Other guest-favorite highlights include: • Dining & Nightlife: 20+ local restaurants, bars, and cafes within a 15-min drive • Lake Livingston Access & Pool: The house comes with a key (side of fridge) to the community boat ramp ~500 yards away and the community pool a few blocks away • Gigabit WiFi (1Gb/s): Fast internet for work, streaming, or gaming, plus plentiful outlets and USB charging • 75” 4K Roku TV: Use your streaming accounts or watch free Sling TV • Onalaska: Take the scenic bridge (7 mins from house) to Onalaska, the largest town on Lake Livingston Our estate was custom-built to bring people together with: • Upper game room seating 8-10 with partial Lake Livingston cove views • 800-square-foot rooftop deck with lake cove views, seating 14 on fabric chairs • 13-foot-long dining room table seating 12-14 on vegan leather benches • Living room seating 9-12 on couches and chairs with a 75” 4K TV • Compact, cozy bedrooms encourage socializing • Side patio with grill and large front yard in a quiet neighborhood • The estate includes an adjacent acre-plus pine forest • Parking: Large driveway easily fits 5 cars Unique features of our custom home include: • Soundproofing: Solid-core doors and soundproofing insulation in every wall and ceiling • 5 thermostats: Hotel-style air handlers allow different temperatures, all must be on the same heat/cool mode • Laundry: No washer/dryer, use Onalaska Laundromat (12 mins away) which also has wash-dry-fold service • Lighting: Every bedroom and gathering room has a full-range dimmer switch to set the perfect mood • Cooking: We aim to stock common spices, oil, and more in our modern open kitchen, but if anything's missing the grocery store is just 10 mins away in Onalaska Themed bedroom details: • Mahogany Master: The only first-floor bedroom features an en-suite full bathroom and queen bed (sleeps 2) • Silk Sanctuary: This Asian room has a queen bed (sleeps 2) • Lagoon Lofts: This lagoon-view room has 2 TwinXL bunk beds (sleeps 4) • North Nook: This cozy Scandinavian room has a queen bed (sleeps 1-2) • Rebel Room: This Star-themed room is the only bedroom without its own thermostat, it has a TwinXL bunk bed (sleeps 2) House Rules: • Pet Policy: 2 pets are allowed with a $25 fee per pet. Please keep pets off furniture, clean up after them outside, and crate them if left alone indoors. • Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip. • Mi Casa, Tu Casa: Our home is your home, so please treat everything like it's yours. A special note from the home's designer, Caden Rain: "I designed this home for group retreats, to bring people together and keep everyone comfortable. When I go on vacations with family and friends, I noticed people argue over the thermostat setting, so this home has 5 different thermostats. There's a lot of hidden comfort features including soundproofing insulation in every wall and ceiling, a water softener with a large tankless hot water heater, and a whole-house dehumidifier. On the first floor the kitchen, dining room, and living room all flow together, keeping everyone connected. I also wanted separate areas for different groups to gather with privacy, so the upstairs game room is separate from the main living area, and so is the rooftop deck. I made the bedrooms small intentionally, so everyone comes out and enjoys time with family/friends. Not all unique ideas pan out, however, and the gentle beach-like slope of the first floor came out looking odd. Placing the front door on the side of the house is ideal for easy staircase access, but it feels unusual. I prioritized interior comfort over exterior appearance in this design, so it's like a hidden sanctuary. I love staying in this house with all its unique features, and I hope you do too."
