The Old Signal Box

As the last standing signal box on the Somerset and Dorset railway line, this remarkable property offers a rustic but romantic opportunity to enjoy a slice of history in unique surroundings in one of the county's prettiest villages. Situated just South of Bath this is the perfect rural retreat to spend some down time, enjoy beautiful views of the Somerset landscape and retreat to the excellent local pub just a five minute walk away. The space This eclectic building is laid out over three floors; the living room with a rustic wood burner lies on the top floor and accessed via a flight of steps that climb up the exterior of the building. On the ground floor is the kitchen and a bedroom adjacent to it. From the bedroom, stairs run down to the lower ground floor with a contemporary styled bathroom and sauna. Please note that the bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom. Adjacent to the main building is a shepherds hut that contains a double bed. There is also an external cloakroom alongside the main building. Other things to note The central heating system is controlled by a hive system and the thermostat is located to the left of the front door. If you are using the Shepherds hut, please put the oil fried radiator on prior to going to bed to warm up the room!
