Situated near the top of the hill in the idyllic West Lancashire Parish of Dalton, surrounded by beautiful countryside with stunning views and fabulous wildlife. The space Hivehaus is a unique modernist cabin consisting of hexagonal modules arranged to provide a compact but comfortable living space. Large windows flood the open plan space with light and allow all around views of the garden and countryside. The rooms are furnished in a retro-modern style and the walls are hung with original art by local artists. Guest access Hivehaus is situated within the grounds of the hosts cottage and is accessed via a private off road track which leads to an electric gate and shared driveway. The property is set away from the main house, is not overlooked and has private parking directly outside. Guests have access to the garden surrounding the Hivehaus and the meadow which provides panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. Hivehaus is in a very private tranquil location and has direct access to countryside walks and is in an area popular with cyclists and the Liverpool to Leeds canal The hosts have 2 very friendly dogs in their cottage. Other things to note Hivehaus is located 10 mins from the motorway network, affording easy access to the cultural cities of Manchester and Liverpool, which are both within a 40 minute drive. We are a 5 minute drive away from the beautiful village of Parbold which was recently named in The Times as one of the top 25 places to live in the UK. Here you can find excellent country pubs, wine bar and cafe, regular trains to Manchester and the coastal town of Southport. Nearby Historic Town of Ormskirk has trains every 15 minutes to the cultural City of Liverpool. There are 3 lovely restaurants/pubs plus a wine bar in the nearby village Parbold- I can recommend them all - you can look at the menus and book online : The Wayfarer The Stocks Tavern The Windmill Margot ( wine bar) Yours is the Earth Coffee Shop. There are lovely walks and a cafe along the local canal, also Eden in Newburgh that does arts, crafts, pottery classes and lovely food also. In Mawdesley, the next village from Parbold there is Cedar Farm that has shops, an art barn, jewellers, artists and food court, all can be found on the internet.
