Welcome to our stylish & cozy Basalt barn on the Gelbachhöhen in the beautiful Westerwald! A special retreat in the middle of the Nassau Nature Park. Large kitchen, fireplace, piano, "Irish Pub", balcony and garden and nature right outside the door are waiting for you. Hiking trails, the nearby forest and attractive excursion destinations in the Westerwald invite you to explore. For couples or small groups of up to 4 people – peace, comfort and barn atmosphere included. The space In the attic of our barn you will live with a direct view of the countryside. From 2019 to 2025, we renovated and expanded our 1913 basalt barn with a lot of love for detail. The apartment is new and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. There is a large eat-in kitchen with large refrigerator, TV and fireplace and views of the garden. One bedroom and a sleeping loft, accessible via a ladder. There is underfloor heating and cooling and electric shutters. Linens and towels are included, and a washing machine and dryer are available in the bathroom. Music lovers can look forward to a high-quality piano from the Schimmel brand – an instrument ideal for inspiring evenings. The piano is regularly tuned for you, on request (at an additional cost) also directly before your stay. The apartment has a small balcony on which the sun shines until noon. Our natural garden with rabbit enclosure, green meadow, large trees and barbecue area is available for us and our guests. There you could enjoy the sun until the evening or relax in the shade of the trees. Our guests also have the exclusive opportunity to rent our cozy "Irish Pub" in the evenings - a very special extra! Enjoy authentic flair by the crackling fireplace, with lovely details. Whether for a relaxing evening for two or a small social gathering - a stylish addition to your stay. From Stahlhofen, you can easily reach many beautiful places: take great walks and hikes around Stahlhofen, explore the Gelbachhöhen, the Gelbachtal and the entire Westerwald with its beautiful hiking trails, visit the Westerwald lake district, the Kannenbäckerland or explore the old towns of Montabaur, Hachenburg, Limburg and Diez with their half-timbered houses. The idyllic Lahn Valley and the Rhine Valley with castles and vineyards are also just around the corner. The thermal baths of Bad Ems invite you to relax, the Factory Outlet Center FOC Montabaur to shop. We are happy to give personal tips for worthwhile excursions! There is a bicycle storage facility and an electric car charging facility at the property. The apartment has a fiber optic Internet connection. Looking forward to seeing you soon! Guest access You can park your car in our courtyard and enter the apartment via a garden staircase and an external staircase (steel). The path is well lit up to the entrance door. We can hand over the keys personally or via a key box. Early check-in and late check-out is possible if the apartment is free. Just ask in person.
