Spacious Mountain Getaway – Views, Hot Tub, Sauna, & Perfect for Groups The Almberg at Golden is your dream hideaway for family reunions, epic friend getaways, or romantic micro-weddings. Soak in Columbia Valley views, unwind in the sauna, hot tub, and outdoor shower—fed by natural spring water. Stargazers rejoice: the night skies are crystal clear! Let the kids roam the yard while you BBQ, then explore gems like the Golden Skybridge. Cozy robes, bubbly, and next-level memories await! The space The Almberg at Golden is perfect for families, couples, friend groups, ski trips, mountain biking weekends, hiking and rafting adventures, Canadian Rockies road trips, and guests who want a fully equipped Golden basecamp with outdoor living built into the stay. Make yourself at home with 4 queen bedrooms, 3 having a full ensuite bathroom! A 4th spacious bathroom is just outside a main floor bedroom. For the kids, we have a 5th bedroom in the upstairs loft with two bunkbeds. Please note that sound will carry from the living room to this upper bunk room. There is an additional bunkbed in the main floor living room area. Working travellers will enjoy a comfortable desk area with good quality internet connection. The kitchen and living area are large and comfortable with plenty of seating for social gatherings and family style meals. There are two dishwashers and a wine fridge. A partial wrap-around deck boasts amazing views, a BBQ, a hot tub, a sauna, and a lounge seating area that overlooks our backyard green space with firepit and room to play. During your stay you will find many amenities beyond the basics, including hair dryers and makeup mirrors in each bathroom, coffee and tea options, complimentary sparkling wine, bathrobes, a bluetooth speaker, plenty of books and games and a wood burning stove to name a few! Birdwatchers and Stargazers- Yes, we have binoculars! Wildlife: You are in the mountains, and wildlife may pass through the property. Please do not leave any food or garbage outside at any time. Insects: Golden is located in the Columbia Wetlands, and mosquitos can be an issue during summer months. We do have an electronic mosquito zapper that we use outside near the hot tub to make it more enjoyable, but it’s still a good idea to bring extra bug spray or coils to fully enjoy the outdoors. Make use of window and door screens. Do not leave front doors open for any length of time as mosquitoes will enter the home. The living room door to the deck has a screen door. Fires: Outdoor fires are allowed when there are no provincial or local fire bans in effect. Extinguish fire fully before leaving unattended and be mindful of noise after 10pm as we do have neighbours and noise carries. Other things to note Water Supply: The home is served by a natural spring, and all water in the house is safe to drink. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down drains. Be mindful of not washing grease or excess dirt down kitchen sink as we are on a septic system. Guest access You will have access to the entire home and property other than 2 locked storage closets and a utility refrigerator within the home.
