Seneca Sol Glamping is a peaceful campground owned and operated by owners Cameron and Christine, we live on site. We offer six safari tents. Nestled in a secluded forest setting, Maple is a spacious and furnished safari tent with a private balcony. Seneca Sol offers private wine tours, modern bath house, lounge area, continental breakfast/coffee, walking trail, outdoor kitchen, nightly campfire, Wi-Fi, and concierge service. Only minutes from Seneca Lake Wine Trail, restaurants and much more! MAPLE - Custom built safari tent on an elevated wood platform in a secluded forest setting. Within the canvas weather resistant safari tent, amenities include a fully dressed queen bed, comfortable furniture, writing desk. Maple has its own covered private back balcony with a wooden bistro set. Your tent is warmly lit with two lanterns and a charging device that will charge most electronic devices. WATER - We are a licensed campground and our water system is regulated by the New York Department of Health. Clean fresh filtered water from the earth. We provide fresh drinking water for guests in our lounge tent and bathhouse. BATH HOUSE - Seneca Sol features a modern spa-like bath house. Here guests will find spacious private showers (hot and cold water), private bathrooms with modern flushing toilets, and a communal sink area. The bath house has electric outlets, mirrors, and ample space to make you ready for the day. This is also where guests will find complimentary shampoo/conditioner/body/hand soaps, face/hand/body towels, and a hair dryer. Not to worry, the bath house is a short walk from all the sites. LOUNGE TENT- Seneca Sol also features a covered lounge area. This space is similar to a hotel lobby. Guests check-in here. It is where a complimentary continental breakfast with local organic coffee is served from 7AM to 10AM. Information about area attractions and many other amenities like a small shared refrigerator, tables and chairs, hot water kettle and assorted teas are in the lounge for guests. OUTDOOR KITCHEN - Seneca Sol has an outdoor kitchen too. An outdoor shared space with propane grills, bar area, prep table, small refrigerator, and sink. We provide cutlery and cookware. CAMPFIRE - Each night a communal campfire is lit for guests. A reasonable stack of firewood is left fireside so guests can enjoy the fire well into the night. Complimentary s'mores are provided. WALKING TRAIL - On site is a beautiful wooded nature trail that takes about ten to fifteen minutes to walk. It's a loop so you don't get lost. A great way to de-stress and stretch your legs after a long drive. We have extensive knowledge on the Finger Lakes and Upstate New York and are on site and reachable if guests need help making plans. EXPLORE – The southeast side of Seneca Lake is a treasure trove of places to explore beyond our glampground, including New York’s largest wine trail, breweries, farms, restaurants, horseback riding, sailing, swimming, kayaking, music, and historic sites. Hike the Finger Lakes National Forest or the famous Watkins Glen State Park where you will meander through, around and behind 16 different waterfalls. Watkins Glen - 10 minutes. Ithaca - 30 minutes. Corning - 40 minutes. Uber is in New York state and functioning well in our region. Wine tasting bus tours and personal drivers are available. Seneca Sol offers guided wine tours as well, contact us for more details. WINE TOURS - Seneca Sol offers wine/beer/distillery tours along the east side of Seneca Lake. We can accommodate up to 6 people. The wine tour is connected to Uber. You'll need to be an Uber member, you be able to rent our service for up to 5 hours. The standard tour, is a wine tour and will visit four wineries with a lunch stop along the way. You can modify the wine tour to visit breweries or distilleries if you so choose. Guests will depart Seneca Sol in a spacious 2021 Chevy Traverse at 10:45AM. The itinerary for the day has been designed to provide guests with a top notch food and wine experience at small, estate wineries. At each winery, arrangements have been made for a heightened experience; this includes wine and food pairings not offered to the average tasting guest.
