Spacious 1 BDRM 1 BA lakeside cottage at historic former Buddy's Landing site on Lake Santa Fe. Private and gated with direct lake access. A peaceful, quiet space to unplug and get away from the daily chaos. Use of the private boat launch and on site trailer parking for a small additional fee of $20. Perfect setting for multiple families to hang together on the lake! A GREAT private set-up for travel nurses or business professionals needing monthly rentals. (Message me for special rates) The space This cottage is uniquely located closest to the sandy beach area of Lake Santa Fe and a duplex space that can be opened to accommodate two groups vacationing together or larger families. Space 5b of the duplex has a queen bed and extra long twin, a full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The gated property has direct, private access to Lake Santa Fe with access to our boat ramp for a small additional fee ($20) and ample parking for your boat trailer. The cottages are newly renovated, clean and cozy. There is still construction underway on the property, however, we respect your space and try to minimize any inconvenience to our guests. This is a unique, serene setting and historical landmark of the former Buddy’s Landing. Please respect maximum number of overnight guests on your reservation. If others join your group there is a $15 per person fee per day Because several cottages are available, it is common for groups of friends and families to come together for the weekend and celebrate special birthdays, holidays or reunions. Looking for event space with a beautiful view of the water? We have a private lakeside event space on property with tables and seating for approximately 40 (accommodates about 75 for mingling). Beautiful backdrop for any small wedding, family reunion, birthday, wedding/baby showers, holiday parties, corporate meetings, or other special events. See BuddysLanding com for pictures, pricing and contact info. Guest access The property is on Lake Santa Fe, about a 20 minute traffic free drive to Gainesville. Lake Santa Fe is a beautiful fresh water lake. It is also convenient to Camp Blanding (about 20 miles), Gator Nationals, Florida Gator sports games, and perfect place to stay for the multiple fishing tournaments held on the lake throughout the year. There is a private boat ramp on property and for a nominal fee ($20 per boat trailer) you can launch your boat and park your trailer during your stay. We have two standup paddle boards for rent ($20/day each) as well as a two person kayak ($35/day) Please respect maximum number of overnight guests on your reservation. If others join your group there is a $15 per person fee per day. Docks were destroyed during Hurricane Irma and not rebuilt yet. As long as there isn’t a private rental in the banquet space you are welcome to use lakeside deck. Charcoal grills are available for use; bring your own grill supplies to include charcoal and bbq utensils. Bring your floats, Beach towels and umbrellas! Other things to note There is a 5% Alachua County Tourism Tax due that Airbnb doesn’t collect. After your reservation is booked I will message you indicating the amount of tax due that must be paid on arrival. Various board games and cards are in the cottage as well as a TV, however, the joy of this beautiful property is to unplug and unwind ... outdoors! Bring your boat, water toys and skis, a fishing pole, your kayak, a good book, smores, and your beach towel. We are still undergoing renovations on the property, however, do our best to keep noise and distractions to a minimum. Please respect the other guests and neighbors, stick to the rules about additional guest fees, leave property at check out time or arrange late checkout. PLEASE NOTE OUR PET POLICY: Due to insurance regulations, we have strict rules related to animals on the premises and some breeds, regardless of size are not permitted. YOU MUST REQUEST PRIOR APPROVAL. If authorized, there is a $20 fee per day (one pet maximum under 25 pounds). A $100 refundable security deposit is required along with a signed pet Addendum and Waiver. Refusal to adhere to this policy will result in immediate eviction from The Boathouse property and forfeiture of all monies received. ANY damages caused by a pet or additional cleaning requirements will be charged to tenant. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE COTTAGES OR ON PORCHES!
