The scenic bath, sauna and cold bath are used privately by each group in separate time slots. Please do not enter the traditional house, camping area, or staff-only areas. Other things to note 【Additional Guest Fee】 The Airbnb price shown includes up to 2 guests. For 3 or more guests, an additional accommodation fee of ¥10,000 per person applies from the 3rd guest onward. If you add meals, meal charges will also apply for each additional guest. Additional guest fees are not included in the Airbnb price shown and must be paid separately on site. 【Important Information】 ・This is a room-only stay. Dinner and breakfast can be added as optional extras. ・Please contact us in advance if you wish to stay with more than 4 guests. ・There is no key to the accommodation. ・The traditional house and camping area on the property are reserved for other guests and are not accessible. ・Pajamas and sleepwear are not provided. ・Baby cot: ¥3,300 ・There is a microwave in the staff kitchen. We can heat food for you upon request. 【By Car】 Private parking is available for guests of WOODLAND BOTHY and Kominka Omine. Reservations are required as spaces are limited. Please let us know the number of cars in advance. Google Maps can guide you by searching for “WOODLAND BOTHY.” Some car navigation systems may not provide accurate directions. In that case, please enter: 737 Yozawa, Akiruno, Tokyo. The parking area is the garage with white doors next to the small building near the entrance. The doors may remain open while your car is parked, but please close them when leaving. Please drive carefully, as we cannot accept responsibility for accidents or damage in the parking area. 【By Train & Bus】 From JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, take the Nishi Tokyo Bus bound for Kamiyozawa and get off at “Kamiya” bus stop. The entrance to the property is about 50 meters from the bus stop. Buses are limited, so please check the timetable in advance. You can also take a taxi from Musashi-Itsukaichi Station. 【Mountain Trail & Free Shuttle】 WOODLAND BOTHY is located about a 20-minute walk up a maintained mountain trail from the entrance. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. The trail has no lighting, so we strongly recommend arriving before sunset. Wheeled suitcases cannot be pulled along the mountain trail. A free shuttle is available for guests who have difficulty walking up the trail or have large luggage. Please contact us by the day before, as same-day requests may not be available. 【Check-in】 Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please contact us in advance if you wish to arrive before 3:00 PM. In winter, it becomes dark from around 5:00 PM. If arriving late, we recommend bringing a headlamp or flashlight. 【Scenic Bath & Sauna】 A scenic bath, sauna and cold bath are located in a separate building and are available to overnight guests at no additional charge. They are used in separate private time slots with guests staying at Kominka Omine. Your time slot will be arranged at check-in. Facilities are available until 10:00 PM and again from 6:30 AM. 【Quiet Hours】 WOODLAND BOTHY, Kominka Omine and the camping area each accommodate one private group. Please be considerate of other guests and keep noise to a minimum. Outdoor activities and the fire pit are available until 10:00 PM. Outdoor lights are turned off at 11:00 PM. 【Birthdays & Special Occasions】 We are happy to help with birthdays and special occasions. Please contact us at least one week in advance. Dessert message plates are available with meal options. Cakes and flower bouquets can also be arranged for an additional fee. We have a “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” neon sign, and we may also be able to help with simple decorations sent to us in advance. 【Wi-Fi & Mobile Reception】 Mobile phone reception can be unstable due to our mountain location. Free Wi-Fi is available. 【Projector】 The tent has a projector with Android TV. You can sign in to your own streaming services, and some services may also be available through our accounts. There is no DVD player. 【Fire Pit & Fireworks】 One bundle of firewood is included. Additional firewood is available for ¥550 per bundle. Handheld fireworks are permitted. Aerial and fountain fireworks are not allowed. 【Guests with Children】 Due to the mountain trail and stairs, we do not recommend bringing a stroller. If you arrive by public transportation with a stroller, please contact us about storage. 【Shops & Convenience Stores】 As the property is located in the mountains, supermarkets and convenience stores are not easily accessible during your stay. We recommend purchasing anything you need before check-in. 【Weather & Clothing】 Temperatures are generally around 5°C cooler than central Tokyo. Even in summer, evenings can be cool, so please bring suitable clothing. 【Drinks】 A water dispenser, coffee and tea are available in your room. Beer, wine, champagne, shochu, whisky and local sake are also available for purchase. 【Insects】 As WOODLAND BOTHY is surrounded by nature, insects are present depending on the season. Insect repellent and mosquito coils are provided. Bees tend to be attracted to dark colors, so we recommend avoiding black clothing when walking outdoors. We also take measures to reduce bees around the property. 【Heating & Air Conditioning】 The tent has air conditioning, a fan and heating. As electricity is limited in our mountain location, please avoid unnecessary electricity use, such as running the air conditioner while leaving the tent open. 【BBQ Option】 Reservation required at least one week in advance. ・Gas BBQ grill rental: ¥3,500 ・BBQ food set: ¥8,800 per adult BBQ use is available until 10:00 PM. 【Optional Dinner & Breakfast】 Food is one of the highlights of a stay at WOODLAND BOTHY. Dinner is served on your private terrace and features fresh local ingredients and carefully selected meats. The menu may include appetizers, salad, ajillo made with local ingredients, grilled dishes, soup and a final dish, depending on the season. Dinner can start between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Breakfast is a Western-style meal featuring homemade bacon, omelet, salad, soup and bread. Breakfast is served at 8:00, 8:30 or 9:00 AM. ※Menus may change depending on the season and availability of ingredients. ※Meal times may be adjusted by approximately 30 minutes when they overlap with guests at another accommodation. ※An all-you-can-drink option is also available. 【Payment on Site】 Cash, credit cards and QR payments (PayPay / au PAY / Rakuten Pay) are accepted. 【Cancellation Due to Severe Weather】 Our standard cancellation policy applies even when bad weather, such as typhoons or heavy snow, is forecast. However, if we determine that it is unsafe or difficult to operate the facility, we will offer a free date change or cancellation without charge.
