Completely private one bedroom mother-in-law style suite with air conditioning, separate entrance, fireplace, fully-equipped kitchenette, newer washer/dryer, private bathroom and guest patio with BBQ! Centrally located with walkability rating of 82; 1/2 block to bus, 10 min. drive to golf, parks, shops and Microsoft. The space Welcome to our beautiful, air conditioned one-bedroom private suite located in the daylight basement of our home in a quiet neighborhood with all you need to enjoy the best of the Seattle area and western Washington! Only 4.3 miles to Microsoft’s main campus, 5.1 miles to Google's Kirkland campus, and 16 miles to Amazon's campus in Seattle at South Lake Union. The suite accommodates up to three guests. Garage and patio door entrances lead to the private guest suite, a light and cheery living area complete with gas fireplace, leather sofa, 50" flat screen HD TV with digital antenna, and AppleTV with Discovery+, Prime Video, PBS and Netflix. French doors open to the bedroom - with comfortable queen bed. Just off the living room is a fully equipped kitchenette with mini fridge, induction cooktop, microwave, coffee maker (fresh ground coffee provided) and toaster oven. Additional full size refrigerator by guest's entrance to suite is also exclusively for guest use. A full size washer and dryer adjacent to the kitchenette is solely for guest use. The lovely private bathroom has a walk-in tiled shower. Relax on a peaceful garden patio where you can sip a glass of wine, BBQ a delicious meal, enjoy the sunset and serene beauty of the backyard. Off street parking is available in our private driveway for one car; additional street parking also available. A very comfortable twin size roll-away bed with memory foam mattress is available for third guest or for guests who prefer two separate beds (one time fee of $25). Free WiFi, cooking supplies, coffee, tea, spices, breakfast items and all linens/towels are included. Hair dryer, ironing board and iron are also in the suite for your use. Ample closet space and chest of drawers to stow clothing, and luggage stands are provided. My husband Roger, black Labrador, Mave, and I live upstairs from the guest suite, and you will most likely hear us at times during the day. We hope you are dog friendly. Although the suite is completely private, you will be sharing a home with us. Our guest suite is 20 minutes from SeaTac airport, 1/2 block from the bus line, and a few minutes (15 min. walk or 2 min. drive) from Redmond Transit Center and Downtown Redmond Light Rail Station. You can catch direct buses to Seattle and ride the light rail to Bellevue, and more locations. Our neighborhood has a walk-ability rating of 82 - and it is only a 15 minute walk to downtown Redmond - where you can shop at the chic Redmond Town Center, sip espresso at one of the many cozy cafes or go to the movies! Head out to the beautiful outdoors for all season sports and activities: Winter skiing/snowboarding available at three local Cascade mountain passes within 30 - 90 minutes; nearby parks with basketball, pickleball and tennis courts, and year round indoor pool just 5 minutes away; local parks provide gorgeous hikes, bike trails, golf courses and tennis courts. During summer enjoy a concert at Marymoor Park or one of the other local outdoor venues. Enjoy more than 130 wineries and tasting rooms in Redmond and Woodinville, order a pint at a local pub/brewery or savor spirits at a local distillery. Picnic and stroll the grounds of nearby wineries - including the enchanting Chateau Ste. Michelle - and taste wonderful wine at Celaeno winery. Redmond is the bicycle capital of the Northwest - where you can bike to Microsoft, Marymoor Park (with its own velodrome and climbing rock), around Lake Sammamish, or to the University of Washington via the Burke-Gilman Trail along Lake Washington. Bikes, roller blades, skis/boards, canoes/kayaks are available for rental at REI and other retailers. Golfers will enjoy nearby Willows Run Golf courses, with a 9 hole par 3 course and two 18-hole courses - just 10 minutes away. Trader Joe's, QFC, Whole Foods, Safeway and PCC Community Market are nearby for grocery shopping. Note: Our suite is 100% powered by renewable energy sources, and recycling and composting bins are provided for our guests. Guest access Guests have private entry to suite via patio door or garage door. Other things to note Airbnb encourages hosts to communicate consistently with our guests regarding COVID-19, to practice social distancing, complete an enhanced cleaning protocol if guests prefer, to wear masks when interacting. We encourage guests to communicate any questions or concerns to us before their stay. We treat all reservations with the same level of caution in the interest of the health and safety of all guests and to protect us as hosts. Therefore we ask guests to answer the following question before confirming a booking, and prior to checking in: Are you experiencing any COVID symptoms or have you tested positive for COVID? If so, please let us know so we can follow appropriate safety protocol. All hosts are advised to include this question in their House Rules. Potential guests should feel welcome to contact us directly and ask the same question. —— If you would like to arrange for additional guests to stay, please contact us. We have a very comfortable roll-away bed we can set up for a third guest or if two guests prefer separate beds; $25 per night fee is included in quoted price for third guest; for two guests needing two separate beds, a one time $25 fee will be charged. —— Service dogs or pets may stay upon approval - a one time $60 pet fee applies. —— Our suite is "self-catering" and you may use cleaning equip/supplies provided to keep the suite tidy or if staying for more than a week.
