Description
Fully remodeled 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom 1940's house with an open floor plan and a beautiful farmland view. The kitchen is large and modern with granite countertops and stainless appliances. The bathroom is done in white marble tile with a spa tub and '40's oak vanity. There's a deck out the back door and dozens of wineries are within a half hour drive. The house is on a gravel country road with easy freeway access but far enough out to see bright, clear stars at night. The space I've had this farm since 2013 and have tried to bring it along with a simple, sustainable ethic. The alfalfa hay is raised without sprays and fed on-site to the horses in training. The garden is planted with useful herbs and vegetables, which are grown only with compost made here. The ornamental plants are selected for drought tolerance in this desert climate. Whenever possible, I reduce, reuse and recycle. It's all happening little by little, with quite a bit of trial and error! Guest access The house sits at the front of the ten acres with its own semi-circular driveway. Other things to note The Yakima Valley is bountiful with all kinds of crops and animal products growing. Naturally, people unaccustomed to farming are apt to notice new sights, smells and sounds.
