Charming period country cottage
Charming period country cottage
Description
Renovated to a high standard, the cottage offers guests a quiet rural retreat with all modern comforts and the charm of a 16th century English country cottage. The cottage is suitable for families and friends wanting to get away from it all. Within easy reach of Bath, Bristol and the Cotswolds, guests can choose to explore the area or just relax and spend time walking across the farm. Please note: the cottage is not suitable for loud groups wanting to party as we have direct neighbours! The space The cottage has three lovely double bedrooms (1 x king size bed, 1 x double bed and 2 x single beds). There is one bathroom which has a shower and a bath. Downstairs there is a light and comfortable sitting room with dining area for up to six people - two 3 seater sofas and french doors opening onto the terrace. The kitchen like the rest of the cottage has been renovated to a high standard in 2025 and also has a seperate table and chairs for breakfast dining or for guests who want to get some work done quietly. The garden is a sun trap with outdoor dining for 6 and lots of space for children to play. There are peaceful walks across the farm from the cottage (please ask Annie or Mike!) and there is an excellent village shop and pub The Volunteer within 5 minutes walk. The market towns of Malmesbury and Tetbury are very close by and Cirencester Bath and Bristol are within easy drives. Guest access The entire cottage is available for guest use - we ask only that you respect our neighbours and keep noise down especially in the garden. We live just over the hedge from the cottage! Other things to note Super fast broadband! Business bookings: please ensure all guests are added to your booking or give us their names and contact numbers. Please also clarify at time of booking if you will not be staying at the cottage and that you are booking on behalf of someone else.
