Description
Welcome to Creagan-Ban, Gaelic for the White Rock cliffs behind the home. A newly renovated, traditional croft house nestled on a large private property overlooking the shimmering ocean on the Isle of Skye. Surrounded by natural beauty, this peaceful retreat offers breathtaking sea views, rolling green pastures, and the delightful company of horses and baby sheep grazing nearby. We would love to welcome you to our home that has been in our family since it was built over 100 years ago. The space Set back from the road for maximum privacy and tranquility, the house features 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, comfortably sleeping up to 6 guests across 5 cozy beds. The downstairs bedroom is named for our great grandparents, who lived nearby in Kilmuir. It features MacKenzie tartan blankets, a superking bed, a desk looking out to the ocean, and a decorative fireplace. The upstairs MacDonald room is named for our Great-Uncle Alick and his father, who built the home and farmed the Croft for over 100 years, passing the home to us. The upstairs rooms also have namesake tartan throws, desks and are set with 2 twin XL beds in each, which can be made up as superking beds upon request. The MacLean room is our family name from our father Angus from the Isle of Lewis and features the traditional MacLean of Duart tartan throws. There was always good natured banter between the families on whether Skye or Lewis was better. We visit both often and try to keep this special place as a home away from home. There is a hallway bathroom downstairs with a walk in shower and a hallway bath upstairs with a large bathtub and shower combo. Whether you're sipping morning coffee by the window or watching the sun dip below the horizon, every room invites you to slow down and soak in the landscape. Inside, the home blends rustic charm with modern comfort – a fully equipped kitchen, heated floors, high-speed Wi-Fi, plush linens, and thoughtful touches throughout. Outside, there’s room to roam, relax, and reconnect with nature. And you can visit the sheep and horses with our property manager, Stephanie. Guest access There is a lockbox for easy access no matter what time you arrive. Our property manager lives just a couple of doors down and will meet you at the beginning of your stay to go over all the details of the home and answer any questions. She is close by if you need anything during your stay. Other things to note Please don't feed the horses, but you're welcome to say hi to them across the fence. Our property manager will also take you across the road to meet the baby sheep.
