The space 🌿 Lychee Ghar | A Nature Stay in Dehradun Tucked beneath mango and lychee trees, Lychee Ghar is a private guest suite with its own entrance, curated within our family home premises. The space has been thoughtfully designed around a mature lychee tree, blurring the line between indoors and outdoors. Every window and doorway frames views of lush greenery, making nature an inseparable part of your stay. You'll have complete privacy in your homestay while enjoying access to our large garden filled with trees, birds, and quiet spaces to unwind. It's a simple, peaceful stay for people who enjoy nature and slower living. Here are all the details of Lychee Ghar for our guests - 🏡 It is a completely private guest suite with a separate entrance inside our home. Every window and doorway frames views of lush greenery 🛋️ King-size bed with comfortable linens. Comfortable living area with a sofa-cum-bed 💻 A dedicated workstation (with High-speed Wi-Fi) beside a large picture window overlooking tall teak trees ☕ A small kitchen with tea- and coffee-making facilities 🚪 On the ground floor with a flat access and no stairs (Just a single step to enter the room) 🚿 Attached private bathroom with 24 Hour water-supply and Hot water. It is exclusively for your use and is not shared with anyone. ☀️ Room heater during winters, along with good winter sun-shine of Dehradun. 🌳 Outdoor seating beneath the trees. Access to our 1.5-bigha garden with over 30 varieties of trees, including mango, lychee, jamun, jackfruit, rudraksh, walnut, amla, and teak 🍽️ Food & Meals You’ll find several good restaurants within walking distance of the house, and of course, Swiggy and Zomato deliver easily to our doorstep. If you’re staying with us for a longer visit or a workation, there are also local home-style tiffin services available nearby — serving homely meals. We don’t have an active in-house kitchen at the moment. However, when we’re cooking for ourselves, we’re always happy to share a little extra with our guests whenever possible. 😊 If you’d like to enjoy a home-cooked meal, just let us know well in advance and, if we’re able to accommodate it, we’ll be happy to cook for you at an additional charge. While it has its own private entrance, it is not an independent house. ◆ The suite is exclusively yours during your stay, while the garden and outdoor areas are shared with our family. ◆ We strive to offer a warm, personal homestay experience rather than hotel-style services. Our hope is that you'll feel completely at home during your stay. ◆ We care deeply about sustainability and follow simple eco-friendly practices such as waste segregation and mindful energy use. We'd be grateful if you could support us in these small efforts. ◆ We do not use air conditioning. Surrounded by mature trees, the room stays naturally cooler than most parts of the city. During a few peak summer afternoons, however, it can feel a little warm and humid. ◆ As this is a garden home, you'll be sharing the surroundings with birds, butterflies, squirrels, and the occasional friendly insect—it's all part of the charm of staying close to nature. ◆ High-speed Wi-Fi and power backup are available for your convenience. ◆ Lychee Ghar is located in a peaceful residential neighbourhood. We'd love to host you. 🌿 Guest access Guests enter the property through a common main gate, which we also use — it’s a safe, secure entry point to the home. Once inside, you’ll have a separate and private entry to your space, ensuring complete independence and privacy during your stay. If you're arriving late or returning after hours, just give us a quick call — we’ll be happy to open the gate for you at any time. We want you to feel fully at home while keeping the property secure for everyone. You’ll also have full access to the beautiful House garden and outdoor seating areas — feel free to explore, relax, read, or simply enjoy being surrounded by trees and nature. Other things to note We have lovingly created Lychee Ghar as a peaceful retreat where every guest feels at home. Your care and cooperation with the following simple guidelines help us preserve this experience for everyone, and we sincerely appreciate your support. ◆ Local ID & Same-Day Check-in/Check-out: We are unable to accept local ID bookings or same-day check-in/check-out bookings. We kindly request that you do not book under these circumstances, as such reservations will need to be cancelled, causing unnecessary inconvenience to you as well as us at last moment. ◆ Smoking Policy: To keep Lychee Ghar fresh and comfortable for every guest, smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere inside the house, including the room, hall, and bathroom. Guests are welcome to smoke in the designated outdoor open area. Please note that a ₹5,000 cleaning and restoration charge will apply if this policy is violated. ◆ Electric Kettle Usage: We request that the electric kettle be used only for boiling water. Heating milk, tea, noodles, or other items can leave stains and odours that are difficult to remove. If you'd like to prepare anything else, you're most welcome to use our active kitchen.
