Small cozy suite with PRIVATE bathroom, fridge & kitchenette. Built in 1920, a lovely, creaky floored house. Garden view, comfortable double bed, reading & eating areas. Furnished: dishes, towels, bedding, basic food items include coffee, teas, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper. Historic Starr Hill area, nine blocks downhill to waterfront, restaurants, groceries, Capitol, government offices, museums, shopping, world class hiking. Porches and yard areas open. No smoking on property. CBJ1000168STR#. The space Located in a 1920 era home in the historic Starr Hill neighborhood in uptown Juneau. Excellent location for hiking or moseying downtown to shop, eat and people watch. This home is older and creakier than new construction and we do endeavor to minimize noise from the floors upstairs. Please alert the host if the noise is bothersome. (Quiet hours are from 10 p.m to 7 a.m.). Our older rescue dog, Arlo the shepherd, may also have something to say from time to time as you come and go downstairs. After entering through the shared outside entrance door, your private door into the suite opens into a bedroom/sitting/eating space connected to the private kitchenette and bath & shower. Bedroom includes linens, pillows, blankets. Bathroom includes towels, soaps, tp. Kitchenette is equipped with hot water pot, microwave, hot plate and pots, toaster, small fridge, sink, french press, coffee grinder, one cup drip coffee maker and filters, tea pot, plates, water and wine glasses, eating and cooking utensils and knives, dishtowels, soap, and paper towels, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, salt/pepper, sugar, honey. Of course, just ask if you need something else and we'll try to accommodate. Laundry available for $10 cash/load. Local knowledge of trails (hiking and skiing) on request in Juneau. Guest Wifi provided, local reference books on trails, flora and fauna, information on places to eat, drink, museum, tours on land and sea, etc. Additionally we supply: hair dryer Bear spray hiking poles umbrellas Local hiking knowledge, maps and information. Free Bicycle and ski parking. On street vehicle parking adjacent and usually easy to find near the Marmot Den. Daily cost includes local government bed (9%) and sales tax (5%)= (14%). Local STR registration #CBJ1000168. Guest access Guests have access to listed rooms and yard, porches and garden areas. On street parking next to or near is easy to find most days.
