Guests can order fresh organic vegetable boxes from Oakfield Organics or visit Hanley Farm Shop for delicious local meats, cheeses, and groceries.( all sourced from within a 30 mile radius) You’ll also find locally sourced milk, butter and meats from the fabulous Jones Butcher at Tutshill THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK • Access: The property is reached via a countryside track (bumpy but accessible!). • Pets: Due to free-ranging chickens and occasionally sheep, we cannot accept dogs. • Children: Supervision is required outdoors due to a working greenhouse, beekeeping area, and natural surroundings. • Historic Charm: The top two attic bedrooms retain their original barn beams—watch your head! -EV charging. get in touch for a information on usage and cost -Cameras - there is a camera in the chicken run (only can see the run and not house - Environmental considerations: We aim to balance warmth and energy efficiency to reduce the property's carbon footprint. This involves: Installing Insulated Thermal curtains & Blinds: Installing Nest Thermostat Using the heating responsibly. The heating is set to come on between 7-10am and 5-10pm and the house is set to heat to a maximum temperature of 22c. If you have any special requirements let us know and we can adjust the thermostat settings The house has a large hot water tank but if a bath or 2 is run, the hot water will run out entirely. Each hot tank re-heat holds enough hot water to run continuously for 55 mins. Ie approx, 5 long showers of 10 mins or 6-7 shorter showers. We recommend that guests stagger showers between morning or evening times to make sure everyone gets a chance to have a hot water. The hot water is set to come on 7-10am, 1-2pm & pm 5-7.30. The tank takes an hour to reheat. If hot water does run out contact us on the Airbnb app between 10am-8pm and we can set the hot water too boost (heating times can't be altered on the thermostat) Ready to Make Memories? It is the guests responsibility to ensure that children are supervised when it is in use -The 3rd bedroom is located over two stories and is accessed via steep steps. We would recommend if visiting with young children/elderly that they are allocated one of the other 4 guest bedrooms. -The house has a large hot water tank but if a bath or 2 is run, the hot water will run out entirely. It's timed to come on am and pm. Guests can put it back on outside these times to a max of 22c The kitchen has a single oven and 4 ring electric hob and standard 60cm fridge and freezer (we've added a a small drinks fridge in the utility area to create more fridge space). We must the only people in the world that doesn't have an air-fryer! - the property is located in the country side and has good access to the A48, some low level traffic noise can be heard from the property depending on wind direction - a farm shop is within walking distances, restaurants and pubs are a short drive away -The property is bordered on 3 sides by fields farmed by the local organic farmer. Some times of the year the fields are fertilized which brings the usual rural smells with it. They can't be smelt in the house but depending on the prevailing wind can be smelt in the surrounding area. -Breakages and damages will be recharged to guests
